Incredible building, great vibe. Probably the best café miel I've had in my entire life. Huge portions, bit of a hot mess,... but delicious. Note: it's busy because it's good, so be prepared to wait for your food. Espresso comes out fast, though, so youcan look at art while you wait. Read more

Three stars for cozy and inviting atmosphere, and welcoming and friendly staff. Stars off for less than stellar service and... mediocre menu. Saturday afternoon, early fall. When we ordered the staff mention they were short staffed but it was very latelunch (1:30 pm) and not too busy so we ordered and sat. There were multiple tables available but none had been bussed after theprevious customers. So we bussed one ourselves. The other tables didn't get bussed until we were leaving. We were two couplesand the meal for one couple was brought out 20 minutes before the other couple's, creating that awkward situation where you haveto choose between eating in front of your hungry friends or letting your meal get cold. The fries that came with two meals werebarely warm and barely salted. One of the meals was an ethnic dish that wasn't even close to the actual ethnic dish. Read more

Nummy Hot Mess will come back for them! Not sure about the Chicken Mushroom bowl it was texturally perfect but missing the... basil flavor. But it came out hot and the bread was delicious!! Lovely atmosphere!! Read more
The "Hot Mess" fries are amazing, the seared tuna sandwich was very good, but was almost a letdown after the fries (it was good,... don't take that as a complaint). We'll happily return. Read more
Stopped in for breakfast / coffee. The building was amazing to walk into and had a great energy. The coffee was a bit slow to... receive, however the flavor made up for it along with the Mexican skillet meal I ate. Definitely happy I stopped in, and ifback in New Ulm would make a priority to visit again. Read more
Loved this place so much we went here 2 days in a row during our short stay in New Ulm. The first day we were a little late for... breakfast so I ended up getting a pot pie, and it was well worth the wait! The second day we came in early enough for breakfast.I got the drunken french toast and my husband got a mixed berry muffin and a breakfast sandwich. It was all amazing! Not tomention the coffee is great! I would recommend the Lola Latte! Read more
