Absolutely beautiful. The host was extremely pleasant even though we showed up late in the day and left early in the morning. I... wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the garden view room which had a beautiful little courtyard next to it. The Hostmade sure to give us a welcome snack tray as well as a breakfast we could take with us on the road! Another great feature of theproperty was the countryside views! We waved to all of the very spoiled cows on the way out ???? This BNB is also just 3 milesaway from Harpors Vinyard which would be an excellent place to stay for wedding guests! Love love loved it! Read more

This B&B was exceptional! We spent 2 nights and got HUGE delicious breakfasts each time. It is slightly out of town but... there's plenty of things to do in the room. We had some problems (not to do with the room) and the hosts were so helpful to us. Even though they had family visit she responded to any requests or questions we had right away. Read more

We had a WONDERFUL time at the Downton Abbey Tea. As always there was a big variety of food that was home- made and everything... was DELICIOUS. It was good to see the Hardin family working together to make the tea so much fun. They are all so talented andhospitable. They make you feel right at home. My niece and I won the best costume prizes. We felt like we were actually back inthe 20's. Loved it! Read more

We celebrated an early 20th wedding anniversary here, and what a gift it was! Donna (and Spenser, too!) is all about service -... we felt comfortable with her right away. She pays attention to the little details of hospitality, and we feel rejuvenated andrefreshed! Thank you, Donna - we look forward to coming back!! Read more

Free time is a precious and ever dwindling commodity, and when we seek to tender this token we pray our time was worth the... exchange. To say that Miss Spenser's Special-Teas was worth the trip would only begin to portray these exquisiteamenities. Upon our arrival we were welcomed at the door as old friends by Donna and put at our ease. After being seated wewere served both tea and gentle conversation. A panoply of hors d'oeuvres were prepared to coincide with the central theme ofthe tea. Knowing that all aspects of the service were given such great care only served to underscore how special theexperience was. Seldom have we felt so warm and contented when outside our own home. I can't wait to return and be welcomed asold friends once more. Read more

My wife and I are a young couple in our late 20's, most people laughed and said we were way to young for a bed and breakfast,... but they were SO wrong! We absolutely loved our stay at Miss Spenser's of Longview Farms Bed and Breakfast! Our hostess was sosweet, and even meet us when we pulled up to great us. She had a pot of the best tea I have ever had in my life brewed and readyfor us. We stayed in the "Room With a View" and found it to be nicer than any hotel suite we have stayed in. My wife kept goingon about how great the place was decorated. I loved that it felt like we had left Iowa, the US even, to stay in at the Englishcountryside! We had both dinner and breakfast, and they did not disappoint. The food was better than anything you could get ata local restaurant, I say that without hyperbole! We had stuffed chicken, potatoes, and asparagus for dinner, with a fresh bakedcake decorated with freshly picked flowers for desert. The salads served before dinner were AMAZING, with fresh fruit perfectlyblended in with the greens. For breakfast we had banana fosters over steel-cut oats, an omelet that was to die for, sausage, fruit, pastries, biscotti, and more, we could not finish the feast provided for us! Our hostess was so accommodating to! Shehelped me surprise my wife by displaying flowers I had sent beforehand, and a gift I had shipped to their B&B, she even wrappedthe gift! My only regret is this, we only stayed one night. If you are considering going to a B&B, look no further, this is theplace. Stay in the Room with a View, Stay at least two nights (Go horseback riding during the day at a nearby ranch, or go visita historical pilgrim style village nearby), and make sure to order the dinner at least one night. You will be so glad you did! Read more
