drinks are great fun place good customer service but they have a rat problems so wont eat the food there if they have rats... outside of their pub they have them inside too rats = food - rats more likely in kitchen. They do not seem to care do anythingabout their rats issues - baits are a good idea they dont seem to care. Read more
Great food!!! Was a bit of a shocker tbh. Older building but still comfortable, not too dingy, crowd was chill, older and just... reminds of pubs in other countries that aren't super rowdy and people are just there to meet up have a drink and chat. Mind youthis was on a Tuesday night. Read more
The best place for some yummy, chilly cocktails????????????????that are well prepared and the list is ever changing so you never... know what you will get. Burgers are to die for and the Tacos and Tortilla soup are heavenly. Great staff and quickservice. Could not ask for a better place in the community that is also independant from a franchise. Amazing pub! Hands down best pub in New west. This is the place to be if you want to have a good time and you?re in the area.... It?s a small tavern in down town new west with a homely vibe. We have been coming here for years and I haven?t made a review butwe have had many great nights that it?s about time. Siobhan is an amazing waitress, very bubbly and gets you what you need andalways checks up on you. One of the nights we were at Begbies, she left because her shift was over and Liz took over for her.The transition was fluid, there was no confusion as to who was taking care of us and Liz was just as helpful as Siobhan. Couldnot recommend a better place to be and the. Owner Paul has an amazing team and is an amazing guy. Read more

My boyfriend and I came here last weekend for nachos. We have been in search of a place that makes nachos properly. It seems... these days anywhere you go for nachos, all the toppings are on the top layer, and once the top layer is gone, its bare bones!What happened to layering the nachos with cheese and toppings! And also what happened to "add meat for an extra cost" and thenmaybe getting 6 little crumbles of beef or 5 little pieces of chicken.... So anyways, we decided to try Begbies as we have neverbeen there before. We saw nachos on the menu. We added beef to them and when they arrived they looked amazing. But we were notfooled by the cover of this book. It was hard to find much beef on them. For an extra 5$ it was a sad sad amount. Once the toplayer was gone it was just bare nacho chips with a couple random toppings thrown in. no cheese at all. Sadly another one bitesthe dust in the nacho department.... Read more
Cozy little spot, loved it The food was incredible. My favs are lemon and pepper fries and beef dip sandwich. Enjoy????
