Came here with a bunch of friends. Hostess was friendly and we were seated quickly. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Love the little... climbers. Food was fresh. Server was knowledgeable and friendly but then wanted to talk a lot and interrupted us often. Wishthe cherry dessert was more tart. Would like to come back and try the dinner menu. Read more

A lovely restaurant in New West — a touch fancier than casual fare however not overly fancy. The food was probably our... favourite (we ordered one appetizer, two mains, a dessert, and a glass of wine) with quite generous portion sizes. Highlightswere a chef’s feature Smoked Salmon and chef’s feature Chocolate Brûlée. Our server was great and friendly. The atmospherewas lively as well. We ended up spending about $57 per person which we thought was great. All in all would recommend for acasual dinner with friends or family or even a regular date night out! Read more

Loved the ambiance of this restaurant. The cocktails were very good. I got the jazzmine, a very refreshing lightly sweet drink.... The smoked old fashioned was also very tasty. We ordered 2 pizzas, margarita (tasted a little under seasoned) and fig. Risottohad a nice hint of dill. Rigatoni pasta was good, the meat was just okay to me. Nice restaurant in New Westminster with great tasting food. Loved the crab cakes, a bit on the pricey side but paying for what... you get. Ordered pasta dishes for our mains which were amazing! Desserts were also delicious! Would recommend coming to Pivafor a nice night out. Read more

It’s a great place for gathering with friends. Food is good but not top notch. Good enough for its price and vibe. Service is... just ok. We were a party of 3 with a reservation made 5 days in advance, for 2.30pm on a Saturday when the peak was over. Butstill we were seated at a small table to start with. Way too small for all the dishes and drinks we ordered. At the end we hadto request to switch to a bigger table. Attention and care for customers are lacking. Decided to come here after proposing to my companion and we had the most delightful night to end the day thanks to the amazing... food at Piva. Everything we ordered was delicious, the music wasn't loud and disruptive, and we were taken good care of by thestaff. All these factors contributed to an unforgettable dining experience that we will look back on fondly. We ordered: Warmolives - would recommend, long lasting delicious appetizer. Butternut Squash Soup - a smooth and tasty delight to savour andenjoy. Gnocchi - A hearty meal which just screamed comfort food for us. We loved it. Duck & Fig Pizza - we don't eat pork sowe asked if we could replace one of the meats and opted to get extra duck. It was simply divine. Had a great experience here for dinner, the food and service were exceptional. Every dish was delicious and the portions are... generous. The service can be a little on the slow side, but the time will pass quickly thanks to the great wine and cocktailrange. It can be a bit loud at times, but it gives the place a fun, lively vibe. This is a great place for a dinner date, anight out or a special occassion, but not a place to take kids. I'll be revisiting in the future, if only to try more itemsfrom the menu! Read more

Fine dining in New Westminster. We went here for Valentines Day. The whole experience was amazing from the ambience to the... delicious food and attentive service. They have a great cocktail menu with some new takes on familiar drinks. They also make aproper Old Fashioned with the smoked glass and everything. We went for dinner and ordered steak/prawns, and we were stilltalking about it this past week, it was that good. I would also recommend trying the duck or any of their pasta entrées. Istill have to try their dessert, as every time we have been here, we fill up on appetizers and dinner and have no room leftover. They also have a brunch menu that you should try. When they open up the patio on the outside in the summer, it's one ofthe best times to go! Read more
