I?m not as polarized about the food as some of the recent reviews are. The food is far from deserving negative reviews but not... memorable enough to earn rave reviews from me. It was a good meal, like a good home cooked meal, but not making me rave toother people that it was a great meal. The strudel dessert was the only disappointment. It looked like it was half of theoriginal strudel; quite pricey for $11. All restaurants are pricier since 2019. It?s a tough go out there. The service wasgood from one staff member whereas the other could not crack a smile. They were quick to take the food order, clear plates andbring out the dessert menu. It?s a fine line between attentive service and making guests feel rushed. Patrons should bear thisin mind. Some may like it while others may feel like the restaurant wants to turn the table and move in the next guests. Idon?t think patrons will be disappointed dining here but some may not get enough of a memorable meal for the price to return orrecommend. Read more

Excellent, yummy food. We ordered schnitzels and they were perfectly crispy. the fresh veggies and roasted potatoes that... accompanied were perfect matches. I've never been to Germany before, but the decor made me feel like I was transported for thehour or so it took to enjoy our meals. Our server was so friendly too, highly recommend! :) Read more

Quite a good place, German restaurant This Restaurant is really a gem in new Westminster ? as they provide the authentic German... food ?. The food was really delicious and good portions. We couldn?t eat it all so we asked for takeout boxes . My stakes wasperfectly tender and juicy and of cause to my liking ? the staff was really professional and knows what they are doing ? theservers were friendly and polite. That was our lunch after we were done eating, food makes you wonder if you have Covid as it was boiled and bland Beyond bland,... not even their sad salt and pepper shaker could help the taste. Would give 0 stars if I could, no taste and bad ingredients.Food took a long time to come out as well what a disappointment. Ended up paying 110$ after a 15% discount as the waitressasked if there was something wrong with the food, it?s comical when food can be that bad I can?t even get angry of how funnythat meal was. Had heard of the place before moving to New Westminster earlier this month, and added it to the list of places I wanted to check... out. Finally had the chance to swing by for brunch, and had a nice experience with the place. We were welcomed promptly by theserver, given our choice of table, and provided bread and water before ordering anything. The pancakes I had were super fluffyand filling, with the homemade whipped cream being a major highlight of the meal. It was almost too much food on the plate. Mycompanion?s breakfast combo also looked fairly tasty, and the two of had our table covered with plates filled with food. Sadly,neither of us managed to save room for dessert. First time i went there last night, welcome area is so pretty, food is awesome and on time with proper break after appetizers.... Highly recommend the draft Krombacher Pilsner ???? beer.
