Great lunch spot in the heart of Chinatown! Great lunch specials M-F from 11-3. Over 15 choices under $10. We started with... scallion pancakes and spring rolls . Fresh and hot! I had beef with dry tofu which was great and just the right spice. The riceand hot & sour soup plus tea cones with the meal . Would not return again. Not good Chinese food and didn’t eat anything particular great. The xio long bai dumplings and green... onion pancake were the best dish that we had. Food - subpar. HK Wonton soup was horrible. Taste md like chemically weird,seaweed soup with way too much seaweed. Service - decent, but did not like that they charged extra for credit card andpreferred cash. We stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to go in because of leaving patron’s recommendations. The service was quick and... joyful and they happy to converse and make suggestions from the menu. Got the veggie dumplings and pork soup dumplings to go. They were so good!! Both had (8) dumplings and were only $6.50. Can’t... beat that! Didn’t love the sauce for the pork soup dumplings, but the sauce for the veggie dumplings was good. There wasseating but was pretty close together (not very covid safe). Read more
Soup dumplings are to die for! The vinegar with ginger and the chili oil goes amazingly on top. We came back twice during our... stay in NYC. Just a warning if you're expecting great service and atmosphere this is not the place. The tables are jam packedtogether as with any other NYC restaurant but the servers are scattered and don't remember if you ordered water or not. Theywill also literally reach over you while you're at your table to clear your table as soon as possible and make room for somebodyelse so if you are in a rush to eat perfect otherwise don't be surprised if they're trying to rush you out the door. I wasenjoying my last soup dumpling and a server walked by and reached over to grab the basket while I was doing so.
