Great steakhouse in midtown (and TriBeCa) that is certainly worth of ‘top tier’ status. LOVE how your steaks are literally... cooked table side to perfection. And the accompaniments were all delicious! Read more

I came during restaurant week and my review is based on that experience. I don't frequent steakhouses and the prices on the... regular menu are more than I typically spend on dinner but after the food I had, I could be convinced to come back at fullprice! The dining area is very classy and has an upscale vibe. The lighting is soft and servers are all dressed well. Again, Idon't do fine dining at steakhouses often so maybe this is typical but I felt fancy Service was very attentive and onpoint. For appetizers, I had the braised BLT bite and my friends had the soup. The texture and flavor of the pork belly in theBLT bite was incredible. I would get an entree sized serving of this if it was offered. My friends both enjoyed the soup verymuch as well. For my entree, I went with the salmon. It was cooked perfectly and was my favorite entree of the night. Onefriend had the chicken and that was also cooked really well and stayed nice and juicy. His portion size was generous. My otherfriend got the petite filet, which was good, but definitely petite and was a tad overcooked. She asked for medium and it wasdefinitely well-seared and closer to well. Still delicious, but she also preferred my salmon. They got the potato skins forsides and I got the haricot vert. I didn't try the potatoes but loved the green beans. Two of us got the creme brûlée fordessert and the other got the sorbet. I ate every piece of my brûlée including the mint garnish! Read more

Amazing dinner. Lost a star cause my steak was overcooked. Was too hungry and if i sent it back i'd be eating while everyone was... done. (I asked for rare, and it was closer to medium.) Other than that, twas quite a great meal. The dry-aged prime rib andpastrami steaks actually force my hand to say they'd give Double Eagle a run for their money. The bread is absolutely amazing. All the little details. Oysters were meh... Not because of what or where... But because whoever shucked them did a meh job...Shell pieces and "dirt" ruin oysters... Even if it's just 1 in a dozen. I see big things for this joint if all the people cankeep up the standard the chef has made. Read more

I was originally apprehensive at going to American Cut, trying to sift through all of the annoying Restaurant Week spam. I will... say that I am extremely glad I ended up going here, it was a fantastic experience. My experience may have been better thanaverage because I went at a down time, so we had plenty of attention from the wait staff and didn't have to wait (regardless ofmy reservation). The foie gras was perfectly seared, with two sauces and pink peppercorn. Excellent, modern presentationwith some bits of crispy bread to offer some textural crunch aside the soft liver. The "everything" biscuits were fantastic; biscuits made in the style of an everything bagel. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, served with a deliciouscompound butter. For my main course, I got the 40oz tomahawk, dry aged for 30 days. It came *beautifully* seared and mediumrare. This was among the best pieces of meat I've ever consumed. Incredibly moist, crispy sear, and cooked to the perfecttemperature. Gorgeous work. The butter sauce that came with it was flambeed table-side, complete with a big flare up from ashot of whiskey. They brought us the full array of sauces, in addition to the flambeed butter sauce: a creamy bearnaise, ared wine sauce, a vibrant chimichurri, and the maitre d'hotel butter. A whole bulb of roasted garlic was on the side, which wasused in the flambe... towards the end of my meal I was literally eating cloves of whole roasted garlic off the plate. Everything was perfect. They say the tomahawk is for 2 people, but I ate almost all of it myself. If you're hungry anddetermined, you can solo it. We had two sides, the twice baked potato and the fries. The fries were some great, standardfries. Crispy and salty, good pairing with that secret sauce. The twice backed potato was superbly garlicky. For desert, Ihad a delicious key lime pie. Perfectly tart with a savory crust, and nicely toasted meringue on top. The sorbet was an int Read more

Highly recommend this steakhouse if you're willing to splurge. The free ???? is freshly baked and comes with hot herb butter.... The steak is pretty juicy by itself but they have a flight of sauces. We got the tomahawk and the porterhouse. If I went back Iwould just get the porterhouse. Read more

Went for restart week. Food was good. I like the soup and fillet mignon. There were two disappointing things... They kept... trying to rush (because we were a cheap restaurant week group?) Another thing is their dessert caused my friend's allergy. Ourwaitress told us it did not contain egg, but my friend strongly doubts. Well, first of all, our waitress didn't even asked usif anybody is allergic to something... I think I won't come back. Read more

This is a review of an event I attended at American Cut. I had an opportunity to visit this restaurant for an event. They have... another location in SOHO, also, they are a part of LDV Hospitality group. They have few restaurants under the group, likeScarpetta, Lugo Cucina Italiana, Paramount Bar & Grill, and more. And that is just in NYC. They have a very nice, classy bar, with good amount of seating. There is a dining room to the right of the bar. It was much larger than I thought. It was againelegant, classy and sophisticated look. At this event, I got to sample some of their food offerings: Soft Baked Pretzel Bites,Everything Biscuits, Steak Tartare, OG 1024 Hotel Caesar Salad Bites, New York City Cut 20 oz. Bone-In Ribeye (bite-size), 40oz. Prime 28-day Dry Aged Porterhouse Steak (bite-size), and all kinds of desserts. They were all very tasty and good quality. The staffs here were friendly, polite and efficient. They kept the area of the event as clean as possible. We had a very niceevent event here thanks to the staffs of American Cut. I would love to visit one or more of the LDV Group restaurants in thenear future. Read more
