Inflation at its worst. $19 cheap quality Sushi , $20 mediocre dry sandwiches, no table service but still forced to tip. If you... are hungry be smart and eat somewhere quality for less. Read more

That such a world-class museum has such a horrible cafe makes me ashamed as a member. Overpriced, pre-packaged mediocrity, with... horribly inefficient ordering. Compared with an incredible (and less expensive) experience at the Rijksmuseum cafe last month, this is a joke. Read more

This really is more of a large refrigerated vending machine humans dig food out of, in a state of desperation, that they in a... cafeteria/forced confined animal feeding lot venue. Surrounded by the most beautiful art in the history of the world, expect toexperience food that makes you believe it was never intended to be a meal at all. The grains in the $17 autumn salad werelikely purchased from the same supplier that provides horse feed to the Central Park buggies. Every item was cold, hard, andstale. Enough dressing was provided for 1/3 of the salad. Please save yourself a significant investment of time and money andpatronize one of the many street vendors outside the museum. This is the worst restaurant I?ve been to in any museum. But again- restaurant is an irresponsible overstatement of what you?ll experience. Read more

Small cafe with limited selections of food and a long line. A small piece of brownie costed $6, and the hot coffee costed $4?... Although the receipt says 12 oz, but they provided everyone a 8 oz cup? Overpriced!!! Read more

Overpriced awful food. $5 for a coke $15 for an awful sandwich. Feels like a slap in the face - we are all paying guests here at... the museum. A world class museum should know better than to take advantage of their visitors. Read more

The only reason I did this was because I hadn't eaten or drank all day and I felt like I was going to faint. That was mistake... number 1. Mistake number 2 was picking that last lonely muffuletta sandwich. $22.54... 15 bucks for the sandwich, thedifference in a Sprite and the tip. They gave me a glass of free water. Thank God because that sandwich was a salt bomb. Theolive salad packed inside was nice, helped overcome the day old dry bread... almost. The cafeteria style setting is uberAmerican so it's fitting for the American wing. Good luck grabbing a table along the courtyard edges. It's more enjoyable if youhave a view that doesn't consist of exhausted tourists. The staff was Midwestern American friendly with all the smiles. As anative NYer I find it weird anywhere but especially here. So tip them. They deserve it. With its limited selection thiswouldn't be my first choice of eats at the Met. So don't do like me, eat before and/or after. Even the food carts outside are abetter option. Read more
