Took a friend for his birthday and we had a lovely experience. One of the very best old school Italian places I've ever been to... (and I've been to a lot). Not sure why, but I was shocked how good it was - can't stop thinking about it. Place has a great feelas you walk in. Amazing food - Veal Piccata and Fettuccine Alfredo were particular highlights. This was my first time going, butI can't wait to go back. We did have to wait a little longer than I would have liked for the food to come out, but when it didcome out, it was absolute perfection. It's a great neighborhood italian restaurant in UES. I went there as a group of four and ordered a few plates to have a family... style meal. A few caveats: 1. There is a per-person $ minimum (~$20). 2. You can make a reservation by phone, but it didn'tseem they kept track of it. Can't confirm. The food quality was okay. Not sure if I would place them with other reputableItalian restaurants in the neighborhood. Service is reasonable. Not bad, but not impressed. Overall, a good place to visit fora casual meal. Tiramisu and Fettuccini with prosciutto was really delicious. This might be the best tiramisu I?ve ever had - the espresso... flavor is there but it?s not soggy. The fettuccini noodles are delicate and definitely taste better than ?box pasta?. Our tablealso got tortellini and penne, both were good but the fettuccini was our favorite. On a lovely Friday evening we were looking for a restaurant where our party of six could sit outside however we had failed to... make a reservation and we were getting quite hungry. When we came to Arturo?s on York Avenue, every table was taken and notsurprisingly, we were asked if we had a reservation and we told the truth. However we must have looked pretty sad when we weretold that it would be impossible to seat us, so the waiter told us if we waited for about twenty minutes, he?d find us a tablein their outdoor heated dining area. He kept his word and we had an outstanding inner with lots of bread and appetizers! We allhad excellent drinks from the bar snd delicious Italian specialties! We were impressed by their wonderful service snd theirkindness of providing us with such a wonderful feast, even though we didn?t have a reservation! Read more

amazing date spot! very cozy inside, my boyfriend and I spent a couple of hours here on our anniversary- the host and servers... were so warm and really let you relax. everything was delicious but the fettuccine alfredo and the tiramisu REALLY stood out.possibly the best of both i?ve ever had! can?t wait to bring my parents here one day :) thanksarturo?s! ????????????????????????????
