The food is beyond fantastic! Worth every penny that you spend. Indian food at its best and we really liked chef Sujan... Sarkar’s inspiration from bengali and other regional indian cuisines! The chef has done a brilliant job and it is definitelyworth a visit when in New York! Also they have some really good cocktails. Overall service was very good. Highly recommend! Read more

Fantastic dishes, filled with lots of delicious surprises. We got 5-6 small plates between 2 people and it was a memorable... feast. My personal favorite was the Paneer Tikka, but really everything was so good. Our waiter was super helpful and efficientwith recommendations. Read more

My boyfriend and I had a double date with friends at Baar Baar on a Friday night. We decided to do the restaurant week special;... $45 for an appetizer, main and dessert (excluding drinks). To be honest, I wish we did not do the restaurant week. I was notvery impressed with the food - it was alright. I wish we just ordered off their regular menu and did not opt for the deal. Thelentil / avocado appetizer was good, as well as the octopus. Main - butter chicken was as expected. I felt the service wasrushing us out of the restaurant, the vibe is interesting - they started blasting pop / rap music around 8pm and it was veryhard to have conversation. Glad I tried this restaurant, but most likely will not return - or, if I do, would go for onecocktail and split one appetizer off regular menu. Read more

Very similar to the menu in Rooh at Palo Alto.. some the menu items like jackfruit keema and cauliflower 65 we're great ..... paaner chili and chicken cutlet we're average .. cocktails that our group had - kairi Mule, mango margarita were just Ok. Keralaold fashioned didn't smell or taste of the ingredient mentioned and was just a old fashioned - half glass full. The cold toddywas the best drink of the night. Mushroom Biryaani was really good. Paneer was average and mango tart was refreshing and light.Service was a little slow while we were sitting outside. Overall a good ambience with the hustle bustle of 1st Street. Read more

Excellent food and vibe of the place. It had live bollywood music and the band was amazing. The food that we ordered was really... good. recommendations include Pani Puri, keema pav, Bombay sandwich and Amritsari Kulcha. The drinks menu wasn't that excitingthough and the margarita ok. Will definitely recommend going to this place for an amazing experience and tasty Indian food. Read more

An exquisite dining experience. The ambience- interior design, decor is all around very pleasant. The food & drinks are... delicious and beautifully presented and the service impeccable! Every single dish we tried was amazing, very flavorful andperfectly balanced. Cocktails also were scrumptious (Especially Jupiter Paloma). Easy the best Indian restaurant in NY! I woulddefinitely recommend for a special occasion, for a romantic event or a big group. Read more

Came here for restaurant week and this place did not disappoint. The butter chicken was amazing but I think for how much it... costs normally, I wouldn’t get it unless I went to restaurant week here again. The pork belly and jack fruit were also so goodand the cocktails were amazing. The avocado chickpea was fine but forgettable and the cauliflower was amazing but very smallportion. We did the wine pairing which was fun but pretty small portions of wine for $25 :/. Read more
