I almost never write restaurant reviews, but we met a waiter who needs to be recognized publicly. Eduardo is his name and he was... phenomenal. He catered to my friend and me. He was prompt, smart, caring, and knowledgeable about the food. And he just hadthis friendly demeanor about him that made us smile. By the end of our dinner, the two of us said, we would return to therestaurant. By the way, the food is pretty good! Thank you! Eduardo for the wonderful service! Read more

A quaint classic Italian bistro serving awesome cuisine in the theater district. The service is paired with the quality of the... food; amazing. If your looking for quality classic Italian you can't beat the food and service at Barbetta. Be sure to ask forhead waiter Eduardo. He will diligently direct the wait staff to provide you the best service possible. We will be sure toreturn to Barbetta during our next trip to NYC. Read more

Let’s start with some positive. The restaurant is beautiful and the presentation of the food is lovely. The staff however is... snotty. Coat check tries to shame you for not checking and then asks you not to hang over the back of your chair (every othertable had coats on the back of chairs). The waiter seems miffed when we only wanted water. The gentleman who brought us bread(20 min later) was actually WONDERFUL the only bright point of our service experience. Dinner took a while and was presentedbeautifully. I ordered the chicken (house specialty) and it was dry and burned. No one asked how the food was so I did not get achance to provide feedback. My desert was yummy but did not make up for all the negatives. It’s their loss as I wasresearching places to host an event. Major let down Read more

Came here before going to a show. Service was fast, but didn’t feel rushed. They have a pre fixe for before show times and... the food was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely a must if in the city! Read more

Second time dining here. This time it was after a matinee Broadway show, so it was not super crowded. Love the ambiance of this... vintage style authentic NYC restaurant just steps from the theatres. Coat check at the front of the restaurant & a full bar aswell. Had the restaurant week special & all of the food was quite tasty. The pasta was cooked very al dente however the saucewas just delicious! Ordered Vodka Stingers & if I could handle my liquor better, I would have ordered two more! Yum! Highlyrecommend. The wait staff was attentive & multiple staff members checked on how we were doing. They also sang happy birthday tomy friend, much to his chagrin & much to my great pleasure. "Another Vodka Stinger!" Read more

A theater district classic - stopped in for an early dinner after seeing Tina. It was restaurant week and we chose off of the... limited fixed price menu for $39 and were very happy. Our food was good, the service was attentive, the red and white wineoffered were both very good ($12/glass) and our meals were tasty too. No negatives, just didn't wow us enough for 5 stars.
