Would return. The service was great. The food and tea were of great quality. I did think that they were stingy with the scones.... Most places give two scones per person. But what annoyed me a little was some inconsistency with how pretty the strawberryshortcakes looked depending on whether it was your birthday or not. They put more effort into plating some other people'sdessert than others with more strawberries. Mine looked very sad in comparison. Love that you get to walk through the store before you arrive to the restaurant. Definitely a beautiful and must have... experience. I went on Dec.5th in a group of 4 and we had a good time. Each three tier serves two people and had a goodassortment. Everything tasted fresh and tasty. I prefer the tables on the side or the seating for two since it feels moreintimate-so if you are able, get those.The only thing that bothered me was for the price point and venue you would expect sugarcubes not your every day diner sugar packets- it cheapened it for me. Also, took a minute to be served so I filled up on waterand tea for a little bit. I would say this is a great place to experience during holidays. Read more
We had afternoon tea on Sunday.. this place is beautiful and you can feel the class as soon as you enter.. the service is... extraordinary and they modified the sandwiches for our vegetarian dietary restrictions. All the deserts and sandwiches weredelicious and the tea felt really good for the cold evening. All in all a perfect evening. Read more
Went for the afternoon tea experience. Pricey for the portion size offered ($75 for only 4 bite sized things) . Limited... vegetarian options especially if one needs alternative to meats. Deviled eggs were the best item on the savory side. Cucumbersandwich was mediocre and so basic. The scones were really nice, but you only get 1 each. The mini desserts were all basic andpretty disappointing. The back waiters/busing staff were extremely unprofessional, loud and acting like a circus. They droppedspoons under our table, tripped over a seated customer, gave us a dirty glass with lipstick marks. Not a smooth high-endexperience, that you would expect from BG. The manager was excellent (I think Adam), he was kind, professional and involved.More staff need to be trained by him. The ambience was really nice. We requested a window table and they accommodated us. Theview was amazing. You really just come back for the ambience and view, not quality of service or afternoon tea. We werecelebrating a birthday and they were kind enough to bring a free dessert and candle. Read more
