It was an lovely fall evening perhaps one of the last night I'll eat outdoors without heaters. We selected out door seating... which seemed an issue for some patrons finishing up dinner and couldn't get checks or cards back. I had the flank steak andsubstituted the roast potatoes for truffle fries. I received regular fries undressed and had to tell the waiter that they werenot truffle fries though he repeated the order when he placed them on the table. He acknowledged they were not after I ate oneand told him the weren't. Bring me a bowl of Parmigiano cheese and truffle oil. They were fine after I sprinkled theingredients on top but left me disappointed as it should have been added in the kitchen straight from the fryer. Service excellent, food excellent. Milan was so friendly to our toddler son. The staff was also eager to accommodate our... dietary needs (dairy and gluten free), and provide alternatives to dishes. Most/all of the dishes had a gluten freeversion. We had been all over midtown and could not find anything to our liking, so we were so happy to find this place. Woulddefinitely go again. Read more

We stayed at The Kimberly Hotel because of Bistango. Our son has severe food allergies and I had heard of their knowledge and... care to prepare a safe meal. They did not disappoint! We ate dinner there 3 times. Not only is the food both beautifullyprepared and delicious, the staff and general manager are extremely kind, food allergy educated and helped us to immediatelyfeel comfortable which is very rare. I had also brought my son’s food allergy dining card which they gave to the chef eachtime and I appreciated. We can’t thank Bistango enough for being a huge part of our incredible trip to NYC. Not only is this one of the most delicious places you could eat, they have some of the most incredible staff, from maître d’... to chefs to anyone in their employ. The level of care and attention was outstanding. The gluten free EVERYTHING really madethis celiac feel part of the real world. The prix fixe menu was an exceptional value, and their portions were substantial. Thisis going to be my go to place for anything Italian in New York. I have been unable to eat at an Italian restaurant in decades,but the separate gluten free kitchen allows for more than any gluten free person can hope for. Read more

So glad I found this place!! Have a friend who is gluten free and they were so accommodating even giving her gluten free bread... and hummus before the meal.
