This restaurant was a mixed bag. I thought the food was very good. However, in my opinion, the service was poor for a restaurant... in this price point. Part of the problem was rooted in how crowded it was this Saturday night. The crowd make the check inprocess chaotic. Getting a drink at the bar was slow. Then the service at the table was poor. At our table, a guest had to askfor water 3 times and it took about 25 minutes to get that water. Once we sat down, getting drinks from the bar was a lengthyprocess also. I get that it was very busy, but they seemed to have plenty of wait staff. The service improved substantiallytowards the very end of our meal when many guests had left and the restaurant was half empty. I imagine the service might bebetter when the restaurant isn't so busy. Since the weather was awful, nobody was eating outside. However, the food wasexcellent. Read more
This is an excellent French neighborhood restaurant located in Turtle Bay. There is a great selection of food and wine. I had... the French onion soup and frog's legs which were delicious. Service was personal and efficient. There is an outdoor dining areathat is great in the summer. The bar area also offers good seating for meals. There is a wonderful atmosphere here that Ienjoyed. Special trip to NYC and had reservations at BV. Unluckily was seated in the pandemic plywood hut on the street and forgotten... about for a very long while. Dinner was just fair with a dessert that can be described no more as hot baby food chock full ofraspberry seeds. Extremely disappointed, especially after spending almost $100 for 2 glasses of water, 2 appetizers, 1 salad, 1soup, and a dessert. Read more
What a amazing venue. Beautiful place for our NYC small Wedding. The every aspect of this the Intimate, chic, French place is... simply beautiful. Food was incredible , service even better but nothing beats the ambiance of the place. Virginie made sure thatour big day will be perfect as we have planned. From the first email contact the service provided was excellent. And Her Husband Pascal the chef made us made a delicious 5 course meal. Very accommodating. Had a res for 3 but our party always over orders so we usually need a larger table and space for our dishes.... They sat us at a table for 4 with the agreement we finish up before the next res comes in. So thank you for the small thingslike that. The Food!!! Amazing! Served fresh, Hot and full of flavor. I slept on this location and I shall never let it go. Thisis a great place, calm setting, fancy interior, great vibes. Another must visit and eat location. Staff was so nice and veryhelpful. The seating in the back was very nice. I loved it. Had a nice breeze and plenty of shade with a very city view. All andall the food speaks for itself and the pictures do no justice. Read more
The outdoor ambience was really comfortable and elegant. This was our first time trying authebtic French food, and we loved... every bite. For our main course, we had the duck confit and lamb chops. The duck was so crisp, tender and moist! For dessert, wehad the profiteroles and chocolate fondant; both were very delightful! I would recommend this place to others. Read more
