BLT STEAK is a contemporary American steakhouse that serves up a variety of cuts of fine beef and other meaty dishes. located... on East 57th Street. the interior has a modern classy air—comfy bar in the front and a fairly large dining area with a varietyof seating options. the vibe feels post-work business-y to date nights to celebratory get-togethers. had dinner with family,recently. we ordered a variety of dishes. started with the tuna tartare which was excellent—fresh tuna & rich and flavorful.the complimentary popover rolls are served warm with soft butter—and are a tasty vehicle of carbs and fat. for my main,ordered a medium-rare Cowboy Steak (bone-in Prime Ribeye) — the steak was just okay/good and was cooked to medium. the steakdidn’t have a great beef-forward flavor. most of the flavor came from the complimentary red wine sauce (there are other saucechoices). the creamed spinach side was really good; the French fries were crispy and tasty; and the Brussel Sprouts + bacon werejust okay. while our server was friendly, the service was kinda sub-par. drink orders was super slow like it took 20 minutes toget a glass of wine. there were multiple errors in orders that eventually got corrected. however the problems continued to whenthe check came and the wrong amount / bill was charged and then had to be corrected with a new bill. again, the server meantwell but was too all-over-the-place. honestly if the steak I ordered was better, i’d say this BLT was like 4/4.25 stars. The entire experience was breathtaking. I recommend eating inside as you are transported to a dim-lit room that feels like... classic New York Vibes with modern comforts and music. Their appetizers are large enough to share, and do not sleep on the largebread; it has cheese inside and is baked to perfection. They have a plethora of staff on hand to help monitor the flow of theroom and help with your needs. Great place for intimate dining, and the food was impeccable. I never do reviews but this place was amazing. Chef Cliff and the wait staff were over the top. I cannot say enough about the... food and the service. The chef came out to talk to us and was so nice!! The staff was very attentive to even pour your water.Kudos to this restaurant. Best I have ever been to! The steak melted in your mouth. The dessert was so rich! The trufflemashed potatoes were so creamy. Just a delight. If you are ever in NYC, this place is a must. Read more
Loved, loved, loved this place. From the atmosphere, the service and not least the DELICIOUS steak. This will definitely remains... on my list of NYC restaurants for our next visit. The steak was cooked perfectly and the seasoning, sear were on point. Theyalso served some amazing gruyere bread, that I wish I could have taken home in the bucket loads. Overall, highly recommend. I went here for Mother’s Day with my family, it was the last reservation of the night. We were running late and running... frantic but as soon as we walked through the door the staff was very understanding and courteous. The food was sublime andunique! The chef also served us a specialty dish to try, which was succulent to the last crumb. Turns out we were the bestcustomers of the day because of how much fun we all were having. I always love BLT Steak - it’s a must go-to when I’m back visiting nyc! Most recently I went there after getting engaged... with my mom and two best girlfriends and Shannon and the entire staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. Theybrought extra sides that we didn’t order because they heard us talking about how we wanted them; they brought complementarydessert, and the manager personally came over to congratulate me. I truly felt like a princess and I owe it all to theincredible team! Oh, the food is always AMAZING. I was visiting NYC and made reservations for 2 here at BLT Steak! It was my first time eating at the restaurant. The food as... well as the service were impeccable. From the moment we stepped foot in the door, till the moment we walked out, the amazingcustomer service from the team never stopped! Our waitress, Megan, and the manager Matthew, both took really good care of us.Megan gave us plenty of guidance and suggestions being our first time dining at the restaurant. Wonderful young lady, and veryknowledgeable. Followed by complementary desserts from Matthew because it was our first time. I could not have asked for abetter evening. Thank you all so much!
