My dinner group and I had such a great time at this place. It was a last-minute decision to go and we didn’t even look at the... place before we went inside but it looks nice from the outside and once we got in it we saw that there was a large dining areabut also cozy how is sitting with booths available. Which I thought was really interesting. The food was phenomenal and overallit was such a great find and a surprising one at that. I’m sure other people might’ve known about this place that we were sohungry after coming back from the Met and it was open late and that was the reason why we went in but it definitely made for ahighlight of the evening. Blue Ribbon was fantastic! Inside a hotel lobby which wasn’t clear to me…fun adventure to find! The inside is very nice... with a lot of seating, including small enclosed rooms, open tables and my favorites, the sushi bar way in the back. This placeis FAST! And GOOD! I found the fish to be fresh and plentiful. Otoro and Uni were my favs, but the 7 color roll won my vote forbest variety! Nice, warm atmosphere, friendly, knowledgeable staff, and absolutely delicious and fresh sushi. We'd highly recommend the Sushi... Delux platter. The various choices by the chef were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We also very much enjoyed the tartar as anappetizer, and the mochi ice cream to finish (we chose green tea and red bean). The sake was also wonderful. The only downsideis that the restaurant has a 2 hour time limit per table so things feel a bit rushed and not as relaxed, but overall we wouldhighly recommend for the food and friendly service. Fish was very very fresh and the rice was perfectly crispy Sake tartar (salmon tartar) - excellent - fish wasfresh Edamame - traditional , same as you’d get at a normal sushi spot Lamb chops - perfectly cooked, well flavored. It satatop of sweet potato mashed which I enjoyed! Tiger shrimp tempura - good size shrimp, good breading, perfectly fried Blue ribbonchicken wings - super yummy. If you don’t get this as an entree, worth getting an app size Wild Mushroom Roast - very good,flavorful. Mushrooms aren’t my fav but they were a hit with the rest of the table!
