I am on the verge between a 4 star and a 5 star. The service was amazing and we enjoyed their recommendations. My favorite... dish would have been one we didn’t order which was the cavatappi pasta. We would not get the fish again and I think I wouldtry something other than the Mac and cheese gnocchi. They were very helpful to make sure we got to our show on time and thebeignets were amazing! Finally made it here for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Their menu ranges from comfort food dishes executed perfectly... to harder to find dishes with amazing tastes. Tried the rolls, the crudo flatbread, the beef Wellington, crushed potatoes, andthe raspberry beignets. All were seriously delicious! Well balanced flavors and textures for amazing bites. Their cocktail menuwas also excellent, I tried the Gold Bar and their bitter smoky drink (can’t remember the name!) and they were very wellbalanced. Service was excellent and the food was paced perfectly. Also felt like the dishes were fairly priced for a Manhattanrestaurant run by a celebrity chef. You can tell there’s a lot of care that goes into every plate. As far as ambience, I feltreally welcomed at the restaurant. I wasn’t dressed particularly fancy but I was still treated with respect which was reallynice. I enjoyed this meal! Read more
Such a great experience. On a solo trip in NYC for two nights and this was everything I imagine the best of the City to be.... Understated entrance (careful you might missed it), unbelievable food, and warm staff. So glad I made the reservation. Read more
We’ve been trying to get into Butter for a while. It did not disappoint! We started with the burrata and tomatoes…DELICIOUS!... I had the short rib with a side of potatoes, my wife had the chicken with broccoli. Everything was amazing! Read more
This place is a must do. The environment, service and the food are on point. You do need to make reservations ahead of time and... the reservations start a month out, which we did. The host was very accommodating in switching time when we asked to pull in thedinner time. The food is absolutely great. The rolls are a must do when ordering and we did the major entrees (chicken, steak,pork chop, and braised short ribs). All were excellent. Easy to find if you’re in the times square area. I took my wife here for our 10 wedding anniversary. The service was good, our waiter was very friendly. The drinks were okay.... The food however, was phenomenal, the rolls were pillowy soft and the butter was soft and delicious, the gnocchi mac and cheesewas wonderful and creamy. The smoked pork chop was cooked to perfection...a bit too much smoke but it was great. My wife had theshort ribs and polenta and that was out of this world. Read more
