Great day at Neue Galerie Museum for German and Austrian Art in New York City. If you ever decide to dine in, you have to... try... 1. Spring Pea Soup with fresh Mint & Herb Oil 2. Adele - Schnitte - Passion Fruit, Coconut Mousse Cake. See Forbesarticle below to learn about the Mousse Cake. I would definitely order the mousse cake again. Read more

Chic hidden gem; a sophisticated all day cafe inside the Neue Gallery. Make reservations. Go for the wiener schnitzel or just... drinks and desserts. There are so many lovely cakes and Austrian treats. Read more

We found this gem while looking for coffee after walking around The Met Museum. We were seated quickly to a corner table near... the coffee bar. It was the perfect spot bc the a/c blew directly on it and that day the heat was pretty brutal outside. Theinterior of the restaurant is very authentic and beautiful. The dessert menu seems endless. We choose double espresso with milkand the Mozarttorte. Seriously best dessert I?ve had! Creamy, sweet pistachio and nougat. While we didn?t eat any entrees here,I highly recommend a visit! Great atmosphere, delicious food. Deserts are authentic Austrian. The piano playing is an amazing addition to the atmosphere.

Wow! Some of the best food I?ve eaten in New York!! Absolutely delicious. Had incredible Austrian vibes - decorated so... beautifully I felt like I was in a cafe in Vienna. Coffee was great, can?t get coffee like that in the US! Dessert was so sogood, we wanted to order all of it! Highly highly recommend plus a small browse of the museum afterwards, just for a few hoursfelt as if I was in Europe. Read more

5 star for the food and ambiance. Bratwurst is juicy, meaty but elegantly so. Attention has been given to the details.... Sauerkraut is not a salty and boring one. Even scallion is a nice one and provide nice contrast to an overall slightly oil dish(but again nicely so). Good to pair the dish with a glass of Blaufränkisch from Mittelburgenland. Sachertorte is certainlyclassic and I would recommend the Sabarskytorte too. Rum adds complexity and layers to the chocolate cake withoutoverpowering. We visited on a Saturday night and there is a live piano performance. Service is adequate but not particularlyremarkable. Read more

Café Sabarsky was a beautiful experience, the room was gorgeous and the coffee and dessert was excellent. We got the... Sachertorte, Linzertorte, Kaiser Mélange and the Wiener Mélange, all of which were lovely. The coffee was rich and the whippedcream on the coffee and cakes was so fluffy and delicious. I am typically not a fan of any type of cake so I was skeptical ifthe Sachetorte, but when it arrived I was stunned at how good it was and would definitely return and order it again. I camemidday on a Saturday (around 2:30 pm) and there was about a ten minute wait which was definitely worth it and went by quickly.Although it is more expensive than most other coffee shops, the experience, atmosphere and quality are more than worth it. Thestaff was so kind and helpful, the hostess was nice enough to clear off a booth for us without us asking and made sure we wereseated in a great corner. Highly Recommend!! Read more

Food 3/5 Location 5/5 Wait 4/5 Staff 4/5 I heard that this was the place to go in New York for cakes so I went there with the... sole purpose of getting a great New York cheesecake. Now it may have been that my expectations were too high, but I was ratherdisappointed by it. Both the top and bottom of the cheesecake had a regular cake consistency which made it very light andnothing like a cheesecake I was expecting. They are right next to Central Park which is phenomenal and east to get to bysubway. The wait is outside and split by museum or restaurant and ended up being only 15-20 minutes which was not too bad forNew York. The prices were a bit higher than I am use to which coffee being about $10 but that is not unexpected in NewYork. Overall, It could be that their other options were better and I just chose the wrong one but I would get one of the othercakes if you plan on going. Read more
