Champignon has closed and the space is, sadly, for rent. It was a great little restaurant, especially last summer with the... outdoor cafe. It will be missed. Read more

Adorable little gem. Perfect place to grab a happy hour drink and share a snack with a friend. The waiters are super friendly... and cheerful. Well done! The drinks are good, prices are reasonable, and the food is delightful. Read more

Like many during these chaotic times, I search for experiences to bring moments of relative calm. A dear friend shared a... wonderful recommendation and I now would like to share with you, the reader. Located in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, I wasfortunate enough to dine one evening at Champignon Restaurant & Bar. What started out as a meal with good conversation has nowturned into a weekly, wonderful experience! The food is exquisite! The wine is top notch (especially for a "Happy Hour" drink)and the service is extraordinary! I have made this a weekly event, especially when one of the distinguished gentlemen isworking. Renan is an awesome individual, the consummate host, who makes the dining experience so very special! Whether it'sRenan or any of the other hosts, the cares and concerns of the day disappear being in this culinary paradise! The next time youyearn for some semblance of normalcy, wine and dine at Champignon, for you will not be disappointed! And if you happen to bethere when Renan is working, check out his classic footwear...It's service with style! Read more

The Cote du Rhone house wine is good, and the salads, which I favor, are well-done and a good amount for dinner. Thin slices of... baguette can accompany your salad, if you ask for them. Read more

Not a bad choice for a French restaurant. My friend had the Tuna Tartare and it was not half bad (no pic sorry). He also had the... Champignon Ravioli, but that was terrible. Extremely cheesy and he threw up later that night. I had the Lemon Chicken, which Ienjoyed quite a bit. Overall, the place is good for the price but avoid that ravioli. Read more
