Our experience was awesome, the ribeye steak was prefect, the ambiance was so welcoming, the receptionist was super friendly... she checked in on us to make sure we comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and seem like such good team players. I couldn'thave asked for more. This my first time visiting and I already feel like I'm apart of the Charlie Palmer Steak family. If the rating was based purely on the steak, it would be a 5 star without issue. But for a steak house of this quality there... were a few issues that bumped it down a star. Had dinner there last night. Salads, file mignon, mac and cheese, cheesecake, thesteak was excellent, I did order it black and blue, and it arrived rare, but still within reason. Ordered the au poivre peppersauce with it, that was a big no, way too salty, bitter, and just way too overwhelming, the steak was better off without it. Therest of the meal, mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts were tasty, good portions, and very good. The service was iffy, our waiter wasvery good, but it was clear he was way over extended, had too many tables to deal with, plus the usual "regulars" who demandmore time and attention that he simply can't afford to give. Case in point, when the cheesecake arrived we did not get forks, the coffee did not arrive with the desert either, we had to wait about 10 minutes before the waiter came over to tell us thecoffee was coming shortly, we pointed out we needed forks as well. When the forks arrived with the coffee, the coffee waslukewarm, and the attention we got in the beginning of the meal from the staff had disappeared. Overall a good diningexperience, with average at best service. Charlie Palmer, you need a better manager, or hire more waiting staff. Read more

This restaurant was excellent. We had dinner as a group of 7 business colleagues in town for a conference. It was the perfect... Times Square/Midtown accessible location. Located in the theatre district, there’s so much culture to see on your way in andout the doors. The restaurant was clean, service was great, and food was incredible. The staff was so professional. Specialtydrinks and wine were all superb. Seafood tower and tartare with egg were lovely sharable starters. Steaks and steak saladswere perfect. Lobster was sweet, tender, & fresh. Lobster mac & cheese & Brussel sprouts sides were both decadent! Cheesecakeand crème brûlée for dessert were rich, easy to share, & satisfying. We had so much food leftover! Would highly recommend, especially for large groups. Read more

Amazing steak and appetizers! very friendly and attentive staff. I recommend eating at around 7 and make sure to try the... béarnaise sauce. Two of our two desserts that we ordered were on the house because of the friendly wait staff and they madesure to fill our water up whenever we were empty. although a little pricey it was definitely worth the price and the experiencewas a 10/10. Nice vibe. Great steaks and a very unconventional charred romaine Cesar's salad which is a must-try! Everything is on point... really, except for the coffee which sucks. Like, it's worst than McCafè, but besides that everything was on point. Read more

Charlie Palmer Steak NYC is a great place to get a romantic meal before a theater show. The restaurant is trendy and beautiful... inside, the service is excellent, and the food was very good. There are Fixe Prix menus available that are very affordable. For$50, you can get a two item meal including appetizer and entree (dessert is extra). The husband tried the fresh oysters andLobster Pasta while I tried the Kales and Brussel Sprout salad. It was a delicious and relaxing meal and was a pleasant placefor a quiet date. Read more

Two stars for decent steak and a candle. We came from DC to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. We reserved a table to... end the day on 11/30/2021 at 7:15pm. When we arrived, we were sat at a table right next to the door so we felt the cold airevery time someone else arrived. A waiter quickly came over and filled our glasses with ice cold water. Then, our actual waitercame and asked what we wanted to drink. I said sparkling water and my partner ordered a drink from the bar. Before walking away, the waiter quickly picked up and took our just poured water glasses. We asked him why he took them and he said because I orderedsparkling water… we were so confused but he brought the flat water glasses back and some cold loaf of sourdough bread. We satat this table for over an hour without anyone checking up on us or asking if we needed more drinks or even placing our order! Weshould have left at this point but it was 8:15, and we’re here with our 1 year old child. Thankfully, the ribeye steak for 2was very tasty and so were the mashed potatoes. The fries however, were overly seasoned and extremely salty. For dessert, webrought a small cupcake so we could sing happy birthday for our baby. We asked for a candle so a waiter brought one, light it,stuck it in the cupcake and walked away. Nobody acknowledged the birthday, sang with us or even gave us a sticky note that said“thanks for celebrating with us”. NOTHING. As if that wasn’t enough, we packed up to leave and needed to change ourbaby’s diaper. None of the restrooms have a changing table. So this place just doesn’t accommodate kids or anybodycelebrating their birthday there. Like I said, the steak was good, but this is a steakhouse so they’re doing the bare minimumright? Read more
