Chola is a fine fine Indian restaurant in midtown NYC. The restaurant has reservations available and they also accept walk-ins.... They have a very unique menu with a lot of dishes from the coastal side of India. We tried the Chicken Chili and Bombay Duck fryand both were very delicious. For the entree's we took the black pepper chicken and the Malabar paratha. Overall it was a greatdining experience. Read more

Spice levels have been adjusted to American palette. Great value. The lobster ghee roast is a must have.

Decor is upscale. Good attention. Delicious food! Also, nicely tucked away near Sutton Place. What's not to like?

Excellent meal at Chola! Delicious southern Indian food and superb service- we asked our what the green leaf was in our curry... and he went to the kitchen and brought out a plate of the fresh curry leaves to show us! Loved the instrumental Indian music inthe background too. Food allergy friendly too! Will definitely go back! Read more

We found our new favorite Indian restaurant in the city! After trying A LOT of ok places, and being disappointed by a few former... favorites, we are so happy that we tried Chola. The decor is really nice, and the service was impeccable and friendly. And thefood! We started with the Cafreal paneer Tikka which was the perfect texture with a delicious sauce/paste. We then had the Methimutter Malai paneer which was special and so flavorful, and the more familiar but very well made sweet chicken Tikka masala. Wecouldn't resist dipping a thick Bature bread in all that sauce, and ended up taking home some leftovers as the portions werevery generous. No doubt we will be coming again to try more dishes from the big menu! Read more
