Interesting place. Definitely have a lot of options for brunch and normal food with an Irish pub feel. Very NYC centric with NYC... stuff on the wall (Yankees, police officers, random Washington Heights movie stuff). And there’s a bar, didn’t go at nighttho so can’t speak to that. Overall seems like a neighborhood joint. It’s interesting. “ “ Read more

It was so good, i went twice in one day. Lunch was a chicken sandwich with pesto mayo. I might have used a different bread on it... (having just a bit more substance), but it was delicious nonetheless, and I'd order it again. Then, went back for beers andwings. Wings were delicious. I'd go back for sure. Read more

Coogans was a pleasant and delicious surprise. We came earlier in the evening on the weekend and it was a quiet spot to have a... good meal. The restaurant is well-arranged and clean. And the staff was very friendly. Pictured (my apologies for the poorlighting) is the shepherd’s pie. This shepherd’s pie uses ground beef and lamb. I’ve had and prefer stewed meat, so I wentin with some low expectations. I’ll wholly admit that was a foolish notion. The shepherd’s pie was fantastic! It was full offlavor! If I’m in the area again, I will definitely come to Coogans. If you are nearby, check it out! Read more
