The place was just ok. It did take a while for the two waitresses to even acknowledge me even though I was sat at the bar in... front of them. They were pretty preoccupied with talking to their friend who stopped by. The professionalism wasn’t reallythere as one of the waitresses yelled at the (only cook?? Who also brought the food up) because he brought up one truffle fryand then was rude when he kept saying he only had one receipt. That same waitresses then took a personal call on speaker phonewhich was loud, I heard the whole conversation clearly. She then gossiped with the other waitress about how much she hated theguy who brought the one set of fries. The restaurant wasn’t busy but it took them a very long time to get things out and theyweren’t the most welcoming. I ordered the burger and it was just ok, nothing special, it took almost 30 mins for it to showup. Then when I got my check it had 20% gratuity already added and then had a space for additional tip. The food and ambiance are always amazing. They switch up their drink menu seasonally which I love. They do have djs , some of... the best in NYC to keep you moving all night. Make sure you go downstairs especially on the weekends. Be prepared to dance!!!!It is a woman owned business and we all should be supporting those ! , the great service makes it easy. The place is nice, good atmosphere! But we had to wait for 25 minutes, even though the table was empty. We arrived and... couldn't sit down. Beer is hot and has few varieties. I lack beer options, but I think the focus of the house is drinks. Peopleare excited. Read more
I will start off by saying that the food was OK. I know it may look really good but it was alright. My friend and I came here on... our happy hour bar hop adventure and ordered a couple of rum punches and some food. Our food took HELLA LONG to come out. Wedidn't even notice because we were too busy drinking but it had to be like a good 40 min we were waiting and it wasn't evencrowded. I noticed it took that long because we had soo many drinks. so, here we are drinking all these drinks with NO FOOD.Thats insane. I see why i never ordered food from here. Had a pretty fun dinner here recently. The food took a while but the chef did come and apologize for the delay. The food was... great and the bartenders were personable. Will definitely come back again. I would recommend reserving a private table forlarger groups as it was hard to hear each other by the entrance. Read more
A restaurant with a club on the second floor, Cove Lounge serves southern food with a carribean touch. My lobster mack and... cheese was fresh and tasty. My friend got the honey glazed wings and said it was not fresh so that was disappointing. The rumpunch cocktail was very good. Service was excellent. The club has a lounge area which is cozy and relatively spacious. The djplayed mainly Jamaican music. Read more
