I keep coming back. The shushi rolls are so delish! You must try the gyoza! My sister is vegetarian and doesn’t eat fish but... there’s plenty of veggie options for her. The staff are friendly and attentive courteous and efficient! I highly recommend Read more

?Daikanyama - This little Japanese gourmet ???? is on E59th/Third Ave. I do not want to share this secret place to too... many????. I love Daikanyama since their opening day. I have lunch and dinner here often. I enjoy the zen and poshenvironment, with professional and tasteful interior decor. I love the staff. More … I love the soft shell ???? tempura andblack pork TonKatsu with cold designer sake and ???? salad… always with a side order of Yellow tail, Uni and tamagosashimi. Their lamb chop and chirashi are fav weekend night with a bottle of warm sake. The place is cheerful, the chef istalented. It is my fav Japanese restaurant in NYC. Your First visit ? Must-try, the spicy pork ????noodles .. with real bonebroth. You should order Maikimono Yokohama Maki and Princess. You can request the chef to whip up Nigiri /sashimi, it isbeautifully presented. I have never seen such beautiful takeout lunch ???? .… It is like eating a gourmet lunch in TokyoCentral Park. Read more

Sushi is well presented and service is great. While pricey the food is above average.

Rude customer service. I phoned in to make an order, I couldn't pronounce the name of the food. The receptionist bluntly told me... to go and learn how to pronounce and call back. For someone with an accent i felt truly ashamed and insulted. Read more

This is more like a 2.75 but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. We came here for lunch with a group of 4. One person... ordered a bento box, it took 45 minutes to make it to the table. I ordered a "salad", it was sushi tuna paste with crunch withavocado slices. Not good. The sashimi and sushi others ordered looked decent. The waiter was super attentive and apologetic forthe wait on the bento box. Read more

I love Daikanyama for its excellent food and service and overall ambiance. Winnie is fantastic!! The little outdoor houses with... heaters are wonderful in the winter, and the outdoor tables are fantastic the rest of the year when it is warmer. I can’trecommend Daikanyama highly enough! Read more
