The food was good and spicy! However, I have some critiques. Only one roti bread?? Come on... give me at least two! Half the... pieces of okra were inedible because they weren't ripe. And finally, two small Ras Malai (that I watched be scooped out of agrocery store freezer pack) for $4! Outrageous! I'll probably be back but my expectations will be lower. Read more

They delivered a coffee and 2 curries when I ordered and I only got 2 rotis and a coffee (both of which I didn't order). They... will mess up your order as they don't seem to care. Read more

Dil-e Punjab Deli is a small Indian deli that serves up pre-made vegetarian small bites, and platter as well as coffee and teas.... it also has a small variety of snacks and packaged eats. this place basically is a waystation for cabbies, ride-hail drivers, and mostly other workers of South Asian descent. the space is small and kinda worn-in. there are some seats if you need a placeto eat, but i just takeout bc it’s a bit too cramped for me, given the pandemic etc. the eats? pretty good considering theyare pre-batched, reheated, and then served throughout the day and night. so it’s really dependent on your expectations andfor me the eats were fine. got the full combo which is rice + 3 vegetarian sides + 1 roti. there are typically like 5 veggiedishes to choose from; picked a lentil dish, mixed veggie one, and a potato-based one. all in all, ample amount of food. tastesgood. spiced well flavor-wise but not much heat spice-wise. total for a full platter is $9.99 + tip, so it’s perfect for whenyou’re too lazy to cook and want a flavorful meatless option. service is a bit gruff but that might be bc of the lack ofEnglish etc. however it’s fine as this is very much a grab-n-go sorta place. Incredible Indian buffet casually served in a Chelsea deli. And yes, counter “seating” only. This place is real NYC. ??????
