Having been countless times to higher quality steak places with the similar upscale format, Ive never been to something... different and first time in NYC. Not sure if it is just this one but the pricepoint is the same as the Capital Grille in DC orLarsen's in Los Angeles which in my opinion are in a different league. But I would give them credit for their location which hasan abundant amount of historical history. The servers were also great which helps.. and most importantly the food was delicious. Read more

Went for the restaurant week special and I’m so glad we got a deal because I don’t think the food we ordered would have been... worth what it’s listed on the original menu as. It wasn’t bad but also isn’t a value if you have to pay the prices listedas is and it’s the same quality we received. I absolutely love nyc steak houses but this one wasn’t up to the standard ofgreats for me. Everything was OK. We had clams, steak, fries and chicken Parmesan. It’s a beautiful restaurant in appearancethough. The staff kept asking if we were enjoying everything which was nice but this is technically not the definition of finedining service: It was a bit unorganized. Our table wasn’t cleaned properly between any of the courses, we had and we alwayshad a mix of dirty silverware, plates, empty bottles, etc on our table at all times throughout our 3 course dinner. It was cutebut won’t be back. Read more

I loved my experience at Empire Steakhouse. I came to the restaurant with my friends during Restaurant Week NYC. The staff was... very courteous and friendly from beginning to end. Our waiter was Rajo and he was very courteous and attentive to us. Anyquestions we had he would answer and if we needed something he was close by to help us. I also liked that the Manager or ownerwent to every table to check in on everyone to make sure everything was okay. We enjoyed the New York Sirloin Steak, the wine, and the dessert. Thank to the whole Empire Steak House staff for this lovely experience. Read more

Let me start off by saying this place is phenomenal! It was our first time in NYC, and this place was as welcoming as Can be! We... came here on our first night and had to come back before we left. We had wagyu on our first night and we LOVED it! We also triedthe sesame seared tuna, lobster tail and T-bone steak! Mashed potatoes is incredibly creamy! The staff was super friendly!Albert made us feel at home. We came back the night before we had to head back home, and again, the staff, food and service wasphenomenal. 100% recommended. Will definitely be back! Read more

3.5 STARS - Took long but worth the wait! Food was absolutely delicious! Professional wait staff, elegant decor (white line... tables, high-back tufted booths, nice ambiance etc.). Waiter didn’t offer dessert menu, but overall it was a very enjoyableexperience. Read more

Torn on rating, 3.5 on this night. Waitress had to constantly consult on our drink and wine orders. Wife's dirty vodka martini... came out with more than just a vermouth rince. The bone-in ribeye was super good, cooked to medium rare perfection. Typicalsteakhouse sides that are nothing to write home about, the fries were good. Cheesecake was great. Whipped cream side wascovered with lemon juice which was not a good addition. Service a bit too attentive, felt rushed sometimes. Read more

We visited here during restaurant week. It was during a weekday and lunch hour so not as much customers in yet. I enjoyed the... salmon fillet, as it was seasoned well and the mash potato was creamy and yummy. The cheesecake dessert was great! My waiter washelpful and another gentleman, presumably the manager was very courteous to us, asking if we needed anything else. The interioris beautiful and classic, and the wine cellar display was awesome. I’ll probably be back for a proper dinner and meal! Read more

At first, we went in Restaurant week without any expectations. After we ordered the Sirloin steak, it was so surprised that the... steak was tasty and juicy. For the starters and the desserts, we highly recommend the fried calamari and the tiramisu. The 3courses meal only cost us $50 each+ tips. We Read more
