Katie was an amazing server. Great attitude, always helpful. Knew the menu and was quick with any requests. Brunch menu was... great, all of our food was good for a Sunday rush brunch hour. After reading mixed reviews I took a chance and visited and this place did not disappoint. The vibe was very sexy, great for a... date night. I went for restaurant week and happy hour and left very happy. The food service was very slow. The food and drinkssooo good I could not deduct a point. The drinks were very strong and everything I ate was super flavorful. The service wasamazing. I was a party of one but they were very welcoming and let me choose my seating as I sat close to an area where I couldpeople watch. I will be back for happy hour again. Such a fun bottomless brunch experience! Intimate, more private outdoor patio met with pleasant staff and delicious food. Got... the chilaquiles per a hostess' recommendation and was so glad I did. Thank you, Essex! Read more
Came for the bottomless brunch on a Saturday and sat at the bar. Arrived around 12:30pm and was the only party at the table. ... Great as we received first class service. Had the mimosas and the Shrimp & Grits. Both were tasty and the only odd thing wasthe biscuit which I didn't touch. That could possibly be a optional item vs required. Read more
Went here for brunch last Saturday with 3 others. We order the steak & eggs; and shrimp with grits. The food was delicious, and... the server Solace was awesome. I would have given 5 stars but I have to admit it was so hot in the restaurant we were sweatingtremendously. The server said it’s always warm there so hopefully by the summer it gets a little better for the workersbecause it was really warm for them to run up and down the stairs with hot plates. Great place for boozy brunch. Show up early to avoid crowds or make reservations for afternoon brunch. The food was excellent... - we had a burger and shrimp grits. Food here is very fresh, which is always desirable. The french fries were on point, the beef very delicious and flatbreads nice... and crunchy. Altho the vibe in this place needs a little bit of work in my opinion and could be a little more welcoming, thefood speaks by itself. Come over, food is delicious! Read more
