The shop is small so be mindful of seating, but there is also outdoor seating. We ordered the chicken katsu rice and pork kando... sandwich. The presentation was excellent and super pretty, but given the price for the dishes, we were hoping for moreimpressive flavors. The curry was nothing noteworthy and made me wish I was eating GoGoCurry instead. The sandwich's milk bunhad a nice texture and was very fluffy. Overall, decent place to get katsu if you're in the area. Read more

Came here for lunch. Love the menu, as everything looks appetizing. The Katsu Curry and Katsu Sando were amazing! So juicy and... crispy. The sides, especially the Pork Meatballs, are flavorful. Their outdoor seating is clean and well thought out. I like thefly deterrent. Read more

Smoked soy cucumbers. Holy smoldering earthiness, Batman. So good. Chicken katsu sando is a bit unwieldy, but tasty. 'Twas... packed, but don't let it dissuade you - a Thompkins Square Park bench is just around the corner. Read more

I ordered and soon they brought out my meal as I sat outside with a beer. The katsu tasted good, interestingly it was in one... piece rather than broken up like other katsu. But it was easy enough to cut and dip with the curry. Mixing in the coleslawadded to the flavor just a tad. Overall it's good. Read more

Loved this place! Had the chicken Katsu which was so incredibly juicy yet crispy on the outside, veggies were fresh and crisp... and the milk bread was soft as a cloud. Also tried the heirloom tomato cold udon which was refreshing in the August heat. Cannotwait to go back. Read more

We got the pork katsu curry and pork sando. The pork katsu pieces in both items were too dry. The rice also seemed undercooked.... The curry sauce was pretty good though. It?s a very small space, but there?s a bit of seating indoors and outdoors for dine in. Read more

This is a quintessential East Village spot. Really good food, modern, and affordable. I got the chicken katsu bowl and it was... one of the better bowls I?ve had in EV. The chicken is MASSIVE and really good. Fried but not too deep fried. The pickledvegetables, garlic rice, and sauce are familiar-but-leveled-up flavors. Would be one of two places I?d recommend in East villagefor someone looking for a rice bowl. Read more
