I believe Frank? deserves 5-star rating, following many visits to the dining room over the years, behind the pizza counter in... front. It?s ?old country? atmosphere is lovely, the Italian menu is extensive and deliciously prepared, and the waiter serviceis exemplary. Read more
OMG best, tastiest, most affordable place ever! It's a neighborhood joint but the food was fantastic we had seafood, appetizer... & two glasses of wine while I waited because it was all prepared fresh on the spot. We?ve been ordering from this place for years. Not the best NY slice but a decent slice. prefer my tomato sauce base slightly... sweeter, and theirs is slightly on the salty side- that?s a matter of individual preference. That said, the ingredients arealways fresh. My brother is obsessed with the Frank?s Special (mushroom, arugula, oregano), and usually wants to order thatevery time he?s home visiting. The quality when you get a whole pie is hit or miss. Sometimes it?s so greasy the middle sort ofsinks in, and the ingredients sort of just slides off when you pick up the slice. Tonight was a hit night: ingredients werebeautifully laid out, the center wasn?t overly heavy and greasy, and the crust was thin and crispy. The customer service is alsovery hit or miss. The guys making the pizzas are all SUPER nice - and you can see they?re very hardworking. There?s usually anolder lady at the cashier handling the money that?s definitely on the rude side, and I?ve definitely been ignored by hermultiple times over the years - pretty sure it?s because I?m Asian American, and not because she?s having a bad day, becausethere have been times when she?s rude to me but turned around and been highly courteous to whatever white person behind me. Herrudeness has definitely contributed to my choosing to walk an extra avenue over to Lunetta when I?m hungry and just want twoslices. But like I said, the brother likes their Frank?s Special and craves it, so I brace myself and go get it a few times ayear. Sort of used to it by now, and somewhat expected everytime we order from them and I go to pick up. Plain slice was 3 bucks. Good overall. Large. Crispy. Lacking a bit of sauce. Chicken parm sandwich was only 8.50. Can?t beat... that price. Took 30 mins. Bread was fresh. Good sauce. Thin chicken and not enough but still the sandwich gets the job done. 4stars and I will be going back. Outdoor dining available. Once this COVID is over I will try the indoor dining. Have been ordering from this restaurant for years as well as dined there before the pandemic. Generally it is our favorite. ... Tonight?s meal was awful however - old chicken - overdone pasta and stale bread. Special requests were not honored as theyusually are, and the whole meal was a disappointment. I hope this was a one off, but I cannot recommend Frank?s anymore :( Read more
