Fresco is a Manhattan experience . It vibes of old New York and benefits from polished service. You never know who you will... spot... The biggest question is inside v outside... Probably outside for a livelier atmosphere. The pizza is a must as anappetizer. While cocktails are okay, for value I heavily recommend opting for beer / wine. Expect to spend $100+ per guest. My new coworkers took me out to lunch to celebrate my beginning a permanent employee of the firm... We all had a chicken Caesar... salad and it was delicious! The chicken was moist but crispy and well grilled on the outside, the lettuce was fresh, and thedressing a unique blend of traditional Caesar & "a little something extra"... It was filling and one of the best Caesar saladsI've ever had ???????????????????????? I also ordered a banana pudding dessert, which was incredibly delicious and HUGE (enoughto feed all 3 of us, but the others weren't fans of banana pudding so I took it "to go")... And the ambiance of this place wasbeautiful - I've never been here before and it was just a very nice blend of "whimsy" and "class"...a wonderful place for abusiness lunch or a romantic dinner and everything in-between ???? We visit New York almost every year. Serendipity (and a thunderstorm) led us to Fresco on 52nd St. tonight. It was the best... overall experience in a restaurant we can recall. Three things made it special: 1.The manager let us in even though theydidn’t open for another hour. We chatted and the manager and every other staff member that engaged with us over the entireevening was amazingly gracious and engaging. We were like family in the course of a few hours. The DJ a even played our favoritetune “You're still the one.” 2. The environment was awesome. We were on a platform on 52nd (outdoor seating) yet felt wewere in a grove or garden of lemons trees—sure the bike lane was between us and the indoor restaurant but it was charming.Bikes went by every so often safely. The platform was a beautiful setting. 3. The food was terrific. Fresco is a great place forItalian food, but their specials jazz things up a notch or two really well. So all in all it was a”10.” Almost anyrestaurant can prepare a good meal if they are serious about food. However it takes preparing a great restaurant culture tomake a wonderful experience— thank you Scotto family and the staff that makes Fresco so wonderful. We’ll be back. Read more

This restaurant was quaint, quiet, and the staff was very attentive. There was inside and outside seating areas. I ordered... grilled Caesar salad and Soft shell Crab Diavolo. The food was delicious. There is a good selection of wines and cocktails tochoose from also. Read more

I love love, the vibe and atmosphere there! The outdoor is so beautiful and cozy. Staff are super amazing. So fun place to go... with friends and have dinner. Loved it there! However the food and desert are not the best for their price. I’ve had muchbetter pasta and lamb chop at other places. The Tiramisu is just fine and really sweat. The gelato desert however are decoratedand designed beautiful (saw it at other tables.) Anyway, I highly recommend it to go there at least once, worth the try! :) Read more

This was my third visit and it certainly won't be the last. I had two Il Verde drinks, a seafood salad with a mixture of... mussels, calamari, scallops, octopus, shrimp, avocado and red onion. For the main course I had thin linguini with crab meat.Talk about fresh made pasta! Had to take home the crab because I didn't want to try to get the meat out of the legs in public! For dessert there were fresh made powdered donuts with both ice cream and caramel sauce. I had definitely had to walk a whileafter that meal! Yes, it was pricey, but worth it, especially if you don't do this very often. They do have a prix fixe optionwhich is a good alternative to ordering separately. The restaurant was to capacity and that was good to see in these, hopefully, declining days of Covid. I can't wait to return! Rosanna Scotto and family, job well done! Read more
