I have a soft spot for Fuji since they were the first “good” restaurant on the island. The quality of fish varies from... excellent to average depending on the day, but they’re always consistent overall and come in handy for when you don’t wantto travel to another part of town for standard Japanese fare. Price point is reasonable, service is also good (and improves aton if you’re a familiar customer). It’s basically what I would consider average, and there’s something great about that. Read more

Ordered the small party tray and had a picnic at the park/playground right besides it. A lovely environment and great food. It... was ready it 20 minutes and tasted very fresh. Read more
We go here a lot mostly because it’s the only sushi spot on the island but it’s consistent and the people are nice. We are... vegan so I can’t speak to the quality of the fish sushi or meat dishes but the veggie sushi is always great :) wish they hadinari though!! ???? Read more
We have: 1. Age Dashi Tofu appetizer 2. Sushi and sashimi combo for 2 ppl ???? yummy! You can choose green salad or miso soup.
Wonderful spot on RI for sushi. Stopped in for a quick bite. Chef’s choice deluxe sushi platter was fantastic!
ATTROCIOUS! Horrific service and the food was absolutely disgusting! Chicken in Red Curry seemed to be of the cheapest quality,... those puffy water filled perdue giant chicken breasts... so gross! The katsu chicken seemed to be and tasted like pork, butwaitress insisted it was chicken! Took 10 minutes for anyone to take our order, another 10 to bring us water, and then when wefinally got our meal...???????? Wouldn't set foot there again even if it was free! Read more
Roosevelt Island is a fantastic place overall, but there aren’t many restaurants here of different cuisines. Fuji East is... always my family’s go to takeout service because of how delicious and well-made its sushi is. Every roll is made carefully andbeautifully with fresh-tasting fish and appropriate proportions of fish to vegetable/fruit to rice and seaweed. I recommendgetting the lunch special because of how reasonably priced the deal is. at first glance, Fuji East is quite expensive, but so isany other sushi restaurant anywhere; the only difference is that Fuji East’s roles have so much more quality to them. Overall,service is great, food is tasty with a wide range of items on the menu, atmosphere and decor is nice, and prices are reasonablefor sushi. Once in a while, there are disappointments or slight alterations to what we get, but nothing of importance. Fuji Eastis a restaurant that I can always feel good eating from and one of great quality!
