We decided to order from here via online as we were staying at the Tryp hotel. There was no sign where to pick up food. I asked... the bartender and he didn?t know. It took him an extra 20-30 mins to find my food. He didn?t even tell me how long Id have towait. I already had waited 25 mins in our room as that?s the apps recommended time for pickup. I would definitely NOT recommendthis place for food. We ordered Garlic Shrimp, Fettucine Alfredo, and Chicken Noodle Soup. The Garlic Shrimp did not taste likeit had any garlic. It actually tasted sour, possibly rotten. The Fettucine Alfredo also tasted off like the chicken wasundercooked. And the chicken noodle soup didn?t have any noodles. It also came with bread which I didn?t realize but they burnedthose slices too. I would never eat here again. Waste of my money which they added a 18% gratuity to. Read more

Finding somewhere to eat in Midtown was a challenge. We were staying at the Tryp so tried Gastro. The burger was very good. We... also got their Ravioli, Chicken Wrap, Chips w/Guacamole, and Margarita. My wife enjoyed the drink quite a bit. The servicewas adequate. Read more

We've had success with ordering drinks at the bar but eating is a whole different story. No one ever checked on us to see if... we'd been helped, we had to go get a server after 15 minutes of just sitting, no drinks no nothing. She brought us water butnever even asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Took our order... And hasn't been seen since until I saw her leave thebuilding. It's now been 45 minutes and our food is still nowhere to be seen. AND THERE'S ONLY ONE OTHER TABLE. Read more

Located just one block from Penn Station, Gastro Bar is located inside the Tryp Hotel. It's a great place to grab an afternoon... drink and a meal after work. Great place for out-of-towners and the locals. Super great and friendly staff. The bartenderDorothy who works on Tuesdays, is totally awesome. Make sure you order a cosmo, French martini or Margarita....you will NOT bedisappointed. Read more

Gastro 35 is one of the worst places I have ever ate at ... and I do go to all kinds of restaurants. I gave it one star because... zero is not an option. First, their menu is not updated. A lot of items listed were not available. Then the quality of thedrinks and food was horrendous... except for the fries which were rather good. Even the Diet Coke tasted like bad sparklingwater! We read that the place had good burgers, so we ordered burgers cooked medium rare... they were beyond well done! Saveyour money this place is not worth it! Read more

Small and nice atmosphere. Located in TRYP hotel, convenient and easy. Breakfast is nice. The guacamole and chips were very... good. I don't suggest the large portion of frozen calamari, highly breaded and fish taste. Quesadillas are good. Read more

A short distance from Penn Station, we really enjoyed the food. The sliders and Mac and Cheese were great! The place was super... clean and fancy. Flat screen TVs and network connections for your laptop on the wall. Read more
