I went to Golden crust yesterday morning, I saw something very interesting, a couple ask the cashier to cut up dumplings. The... cashier was very pleasant and professional. I was going to ask for my own too then I remember I am from the Caribbean so I knowhow to cut it. I'm a frequent customer at golden Krust 14th. The staff is very friendly and polite. The food is good and I'm a fan of their... soup. The only reason this location gets 3 stars is because of the staff. I understand the costs of rent and food are increasingbut if you have any common sense and do the math his price increase is just pure greediness. All the other locations are not asgreedy as this fool and since they're all individually owned and operated you would think he would have enough brains to matchas close as you can to other restaurants. If Ophelia ever leaves this location I'll stop going and just go to grand central.She's the only one at this location with a sweet friendly personality. I don't know why there's so many bad reviews for this place because my rice and peas with the jerk chicken and cabbage with the... plantains everything was really good the only critique I have is that they give you a little tiny bottle of sauce and hot sauceand then the cabbage should be cooked a little more and more softer but other than that the food was absolutely delicious I gota large and it was more than enough for me very fooling dinner that I had. I enjoy going to this Restaurant, the price is perfect for the area and the city as a whole. Plus the portions are great size,... coupled with good selection too. Another great aspect is the staff are always nice when I?m there too. I just wish they had afew of these places in my area of the Bronx, I?d visit daily then. Read more
What a dump. Got #1 special which is clearly advertised in big, illuminated sign as $5.00, $5.29 after tax. The charged me $6.25... and were not having it when I brought up the advertised price. Can of soda are RC Cola and RC Orange, no diet option. Mess fromprevious patrins left on floor with no effort to pick up.
