Food not bad but they are not accommodating. They didnt have one of their soups and were out of the only vegetarian sandwich. I... asked for the pair deal and to get mac and cheese and a soup instead of soup and sandwich (because they were out!) but sincethat counted as two soups they said it was not possible. Not cool. For me it?s one of the best places for a lunch. You may choose either soup with half sandwich or salad with half sandwich for... $9. For $1 you may also add beverage to your order and bread may be added free of charge. I prefer sandwich with salad. So farmy favorites salads are ?grilled chicken Caesar? and ?Chicken, avocado, cranberries & walnuts?. My favorite sandwiches: ?carrycashew chicken salad wrap? and ?H&H tuna salad sandwich?. Coconut chicken soup does not taste like coconut soup. It?s more like a strong tomato stew and it?s too salty. It?s not so good.... The mozzarella sandwich is ok I don?t like the white sauce in the sandwich. The service is ok. The man at cashier was very niceand the lady was loud but somewhat ok nice. She was bothered that I did not want the side bread or crackers with the sandwich... but it?s just too much bread. Getting food in Rockefeller Center between 10:35 and 11 is impossible. Hale and Hearty was our third choice primarily because... they were ready to serve at 11. I got the ginger lemongrass mushrooms with vermicelli noodles. I asked if I could add a side ofchicken and was told it had chicken repeatedly. I pointed out the sign says vegetarian. Another staff member agreed with me. Theactual dish was very bland but otherwise ok. Friends got the sandwich and soup combo - Cajun shrimp bisque, jambalaya chickenand sausage, Broccoli cheddar, and pot roast. The Bisque was very spicy and was barely touched beyond two spoonfuls and didn'tagree with my friends stomach. She got physically sick as we left the eating area. Everyone else was ok. The jambalaya and potroast were ok but the broccoli cheddar was lacking in flavor, color, and texture. Read more
As a Chain all the soups are the same and consistent. The customer service here is very good. Staff knows this is a high... traffic and high volume store, so they do there best to get you in and out. Staff is super friendly and professional. My onlynegative is during peak hours 12 to 2:30pm, the line management is a problem due to location of check out kiosks. Love andsuggest you try the Chicken Pot Pie, Chicken Sausage Jambalaya and Chicken & Dumplings (two recipes) soups. Read more
With all the options in mid town, I keep coming back here. I love that i can pick half a sandwich and a small soup and feel... very full. I enjoy sampling my anything new before getting in on the soups. I tend to go with old favorites. All of the cornsoups are sweet and delicious! Read more
Very good soup, the Jambalaya was absolutely delicious. It's a good option for lunch after the Top of the Rock experience!
