We ordered the Buttermilk Biscuits, Adult Kid’s Pasta, Schmidt Burger, Smoked Margarita, and Hancock Rum and Coke. We reserved... ahead of time and were seated immediately. Everything was delicious, even the complimentary chips tasted freshly fried. Portionsare decent and filling. Both drinks were tasty and presented beautifully. Arrived without a reservation when dining with a friend who lives in the area and the staff especially the Maitred’/Host was... exceptionally helpful and welcoming including offering us an additional starter sample of a yellowfin tuna on a crispy potatocroquette of sorts with truffle oil. Sat inside this nicely designed and lit restaurant with a warm cozy vibe. The food was verygood -I had the roast Amish chicken - and portion size was very generous. Haven't been wowed by NYC brunch in a long time. Hancock has a nice upscale atmosphere with super cool beats playing throughout... brunch. The one thing that stood out for all of us was definitely how FRESH the produce was; we couldn't even ket theaccompaniment tomatoes go to waste because they were so delicious. We especially loved the housemade warm cinnamon rolls, housesmoked salmons bruschetta, the buttermilk pancakes, and the leafy green salad. Their outdoor patio is beautiful and service is up to a standard. The quality of the food, however, doesn't taste high-end and... certainly not worthy of the white tablecloth restaurant label. I ordered the burrata with garlic pesto. The pesto was fresh butburrata wasn't. Slicing into burrata should be like slicing into a perfectly executed egg benedict. The outside should be afresh delicate mozzarella and the inside should be filled with gooey, oozy, runny cream+mozzarella. It should be heavenly. Well,this burrata was not. Its consistency was more like hard boiled egg than egg benedict. For the main entree, I ordered the DuckBolognese. Since ducks are high-fat, gamey tasting, strong flavored meat that is closer to red meat than chicken, I expected theBolognese sauce to be fatty, rich and creamy. Unfortunately, again, it fell incredibly short of my expectations. I felt as if Iwas eating chicken Bolognese instead: unflavorful and flat meat in watery runny sauce. Also, it was little saltier than it needsto be. My friends had similar experiences as well. None of them seemed impressed with their food choices from chicken, burgerto branzino. Read more

I walked passed this hidden gem a few weeks ago and had the opportunity to have brunch there. It’s such a cozy place! The... food is amazing! The staff are just awesome! Overall, the experience was beyond my expectations. Even stayed for the wineflight. Wine happy hour. Your choice or 3 tasty wines…this was different.
