While the food is really good, the service is really bad. I would rate the food a four out of five and the service of one out of... five. I got their hot mess burger in addition to their french fries. The burger was exceptional. It had sweet, relish, as wellas really crispy and savory beef. It was a perfect ratio of ingredients and was super fresh and flavorful. The fries were alsoreally exceptionally great. They were perfectly fried and had so much flavor. The reason this place only gets three stars isbecause the service was terrible. When I got there, it took at least 15 minutes for any of the workers to decide to help me.Several of them looked my way with distain, and would not come over to help take an order. Once I did place my order, they stillwere very unfriendly throughout the entire experience. Personally, I would only order food to be delivered from here to avoidinteracting with the staff. Read more
DO NOT RECOMMEND. By far the worst thing I ate all year ! An hour and 20 minutes for a super late delivery that literally was... horrible . Food quality INEDIBLE, I had to throw the whole thing out. My burger patties were over cooked and crunchy and myFrench fries was so over cooked, hard and filled with grease.. it tastes like whatever they cooked them in.. JUST BEYOND GROSS!!!!! An amazing retro-diner that drips with style and history located in classic Harlem. The Harlem Classic was the best burger I've... ever eaten. Ever. And i've eaten a lot of burgers. The meat is the star of the show. It's perfect! Tender and juicy with amazingquality. I'd swear it was made from dry-aged rib roast. The bun had just the right "tooth" and the pickle, cheese and saucecomplemented the beef perfectly without getting in the way. Fries were also perfect. The old-school milkshakes are excellent. Fun old school burger and shake joint. My burger was delicious - really like the bacon relish they add. Fries were good and... crispy and the shake was the perfect accompaniment. It’s not immediately obvious how to order but easy enough once you figureit out. You’ve got to go to a table and scan a QR code, place your order, and then wait by the counter. Read more
We were in the area for work and happened to stop in since I had this marked down to try. Pretty simple menu to choose from. I... wanted to give a few things a try so I went with their Harlem Classic burger (2 smashed patties, cheese, onions, pickles, andspecial sauce), a Classic fried chicken sandwich (no slaw), french fries, and a lemonade. Burger was really good. They smashthe patties thin and let them sit, so they had a really nice crust on them. Pickles, onions, and sauce are on the bottom bun andthe cheese is between the two patties, which means good flavor distribution. Chicken was well seasoned, felt like maybe a slightspice, and crispy. It's a decent sized piece, though a little thin in spots, so you can end up with a drier bite here and there.Fries were your standard, tasty shoestring fry. I asked my 7 years old how many stars out of 5 we should give the restaurant, he stated 4. The burgers and food were very good.... However, the wait was crazy. After 30 minutes of waiting, I along with several other patrons had to stalk the workers to get myfood. My son had a long day at school and was starving. The food was cooked but you could see they did not have a system forgetting the orders- leaving them piled up and getting cold as our fries were. As someone with restaurant experience, I actuallywanted to jump in and help them. The shakes are good. Like ice cream in a cup pretty much. We enjoyed the outsides eating areaand the old diner like setting was cool. Would definitely recommend and return. I would say if it is a weekend or other busytime order before you go. Super nice smash burgers. They are not super big but they are filling, so easy to eat and taste so good! You could eat a few!
