Love coming here to dance on a friday/ Saturday night but the bathroom situation is so abysmal we decided to only go at the end... of the night after drinking elsewhere and not buy any drinks from now on. I was trying to go to Henrietta Hudson last night (Saturday) but unfortunately they didn't let me in. The reasons are very... disturbing. What makes it even worse is the fact that they behave exactly the opposite of what they represent. At the end ofthe day ,they made me realize that it doesn't matter who is in power - they will discriminate against you if you're not likethem. They didn't let me into the club for the following reasons: 1. They made a presumption that I was a straight man andcreated a profile of me without any bases which is definitely sexual orientation discrimination. 2. They told me that astraight can only enter if he is accompanied by a woman. 3. THe woman at the door directed me to straight clubs in theneighborhood. (Guys, are you real) 4. They said they don't let me in as a single man because I will probably harass the girlsinside and they can't put so much effort on monitoring straight guys. For the record, the place had capacity and I was willingpay the cover charge like every other patron AND I was actually meeting a female friend. They very quite aggressive andinhospitable and alienating not mention humiliating as they were very loud and public about their decision not to let me in. Vibes are good and it made my second lesbian bar experience pleasant and enjoyable!! Really hope there will be more lesbian bars... like this. The bathroom capacity is a bit limited though, there was a very long line. Read more

I went here with my girlfriend and we liked the place. I'm not much of a dancer (she is), but the vibes were good, the drink... names amusing, and the atmosphere queer. The music was annoyingly loud, though - I'd bet all the staff have permanently damagedtheir hearing, and it made me wish I had brought earplugs. I do have one major complaint: They didn't card either of us andsome of the patrons looked underage, which is worrying because it would be really easy for them to get shut down for that. Read more
The best hummus this side of the Mediterranean -would have had another order if I had more time. Amazingly friendly staff and... stellar outdoor design. While I miss the good times and late nights Henrietta Hudson brought to the hood, they?ve done a good-no, great job in the post-pandemic world. The party will be back but for the moment grab a charcuterie plate or two, you won?tregret it. Read more
This would have been 5 stars. I am a transwomxn and a baby dyk3. First two nights coming here I was treated with kindness and... felt very welcome. However, Halloween wasn't one of those nights. So I am waiting on line and the large male presenting securitygaurd loudly misgenders me and tells me to move without explanation. Then he bumps two people in front of me before walkingaway. I understand if he needed me to move. But he could have spoken in a kinder way. My date and I ended up opting for anotherbar that night. Also if you're going to work in a queer space you shouldn't be assuming anyone's gender. I am not into gettinganyone in trouble. All I ask is that management have a talk with him. Thank you. Read more
