I was so hyped about this place since it had great reviews and I had a friend refer it to me. And it was ok. We had pre fixe... menu. Apps: -king crab pasta: let me tell you,I asked if there was actual king crab on it and they said yes, so I was naivelyhoping for actual king crab, and there was one (1) little piece of king crab the size of a quarter on it. The taste it self wasgood, creamy pasta. But common… don’t advertise it as king Jean pasta if it’s only a garnish. -Hortus seasonal salad: thisone caught our eye cause it had mango, papaya and pickled beets. It was actually pretty good and refreshing. You have to likesalads/greens though!! As the mango and papaya are green so it’s not sweet as one would expect. Mains: -the ribs: these weregood, very spicy . They came with a side of taro fries which were good. -Donne with hanger steak- it was tasty. The rice wascrunchy. Mushrooms were ok. Could use a flavor boost. A bit heavy on the oil. Drinks: Pineapple chipotle cocktail: this was thehighlight of the dinner. Loved this drink and would go back for just this. As for the service, everyone was very welcoming andattentive. So 10/0 in that aspect. Environment: lovely place. Very tastefully decorated. I picked this spot for dinner because the reviews were really good. I was a little nervous when we walked in because there was... almost no one inside. But we climbed the stairs to a vibrant dining room and all was well. We ordered the crispy octopus for anappetizer and I had the duck as my entrée. The crispy octopus was amazing. The sauce served with it was spicy and so delicious.The duck was perfectly prepared and paired with an excellent sauce. We were both pleased with our meals and will be back again. Read more

Vibe and service was amazing, very comfortable. Overpriced food brought it down. Appetizers were good, however the mains were... not. Pork ribs were dry and fish over salty. Flavours didn't meld together for some dishes which is what we'd expect for afusion restaurant. Read more

Amazing food, went there for lunch on Mothers Day, so they only had the dinner menu. Food and drinks are absolutely amazing,... love all the appetizers. The Truffle dish is my favorite, taste like heaven from the first bite. Would definitely go back to tryout lunch menu. Read more

One of the best Asian fusion restaurants I've been to in a long time. Definitely get the Truffle Donabe and Crispy Octopus. The... portion sizes are just right. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Service was great and we didn't have to wait long forfood even though we were a large group. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes! Read more

I took my dad here for his birthday. The food was great. The octopus smelled like French fries as it was covered in a light... batter and it tasted so good. I also had the short rib. My girlfriend ordered the steak. I thought that was better so I’d sayyou go in that direction. The pasta as an appetizer was also great. Oh! Before I forget…the sweet potato mash that came withthe short rib was unlike anything I’ve tried. Crazy good texture. A pleasant experience during the NYC restaurant week. Amazing food. Started with Amuse-bouche made of crispy base and topped... with shrimp. Tried king crab noodles from the appetizers and they were creamy and tasty. The Sea urchin donabe from the mainswas amazing. For the deserts, had the Black sesame Monaka ice cream.
