Food was as expected, good. Kölsch was served in too large glasses (>0.2l), waiter promised to amend. Service otherwise slow... and not attentive. After payment, including gratuity, the waitress refused to post a card, previously provided by the restaurantduring the payment price, as it didn't carry (logically) a stamp. Great marketing opportunity missed. I recommend having allwishes fulfilled before paying gratuity. Read more

This was an awesome Tasting Collective dining club event we attended. It was a 6-course Elevated Seasonal Dinner Series. The... inside is a bit small, long and narrow with a beautiful bar. The Chef of Houseman, Chef Baldwin came out to greet us withinteresting background and history. We got to try Preserved Blue Fish, Greek Salad, Fried Whitebait, Grilled Tuna, Pork & Clam, and Malt Ice Cream. They were all very good in quality, some more interesting than other, and all very tasty. I especiallyenjoyed the grilled tuna, fried whitebait, and Pork & Clam dishes. They don't try to offer something super fancy, but more"everyday food" that are homey with comfy flavors. I wish if we got to try their popular burgers and fries, but they were notpart of the course meal. We had a nice dinner here, we were blessed with really fun people at our table. Having dinner with agreat company always makes the food taste better, thanks guys! The staffs were efficient and polite, they did a nice job takingcare of us as a whole. Their regular menu seems simple yet interesting, just like the ones we got to try during this event. Iwould like to go back and try some other dishes in a future. Read more

Amazing steak, seemed high quality. Had it medium rare. It was juicy and tasted delicious. The fries were really great as well.... The crowd was classy and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Service was on point. Read more

Great casual spot! We came right at the end of brunch and it was super quiet. Our waitress was really kind and did a great job... breaking down the menu and her recommendations for us! The pizza eggs are their take on shakshuka (baked eggs in a tomato saucedressed up based on the description). We got the burger and the Italian sausage pizza eggs. Highly recommend both! Read more

Made a reservation for two at the bar on a quiet Sunday afternoon, looking to indulge on the burger that was described on a... "foodie" website as "what you’d get if a Shake Shack burger mated with a fancy steakhouse burger." That description soundedlike exactly what I was looking for. My wife and I walk by Houseman at least once a week and always feel compelled to put it onour "to go soon" list. It looks very charming from the outside and it always seems to radiate an aura of calmness, even when itis full. When we arrived we were seated at the bar, as per our reservation. The bartender showed us the menus and upon askingher about a recommendation for a light, crisp, not too hoppy beer that we could enjoy (it was 100 degrees outside) weimmediately felt her demeanor was stern and dry. Maybe it was because we only ordered a salad, two burgers and two beers andwere not considered high-ticket customers, but that first interaction left us deflated. Subsequent questions or requests wereanswered in the same hurried, dry and lacking-warmth manner. The burger was also a total disappointment. It is basically twomeat patties held together by some cheese and served with potato buns, french fries and pickles. It felt, looked and tasted veryfar from the description I read on that "foodie" website and it was more reminiscent of something you'd find at a diner in themid-90s. Read more

Great restaurant. Very New York. Burger was great. Small but very good. Liked the split pea soup.
