Our best meal in NYC (at least on this trip). Just be sure to ask for mild-medium spice (unless you're hardcore) ! Hard to beat... NYC for Thai (and most other world cuisines). A bit pricier than we expected, but very authentic. Read more

Went to the restaurant in August 2022 with 7 friends a few points to note : 1. This is no longer the same establishment that... earned its reputation it's under new management. 2. Because if 1 the quality of food and taste has dropped and remarkably. 3. Wewere asked to pay $100 for reservation, we paid gladly but in hindsight it seems like it was a desperate move because it doesn'tpull in the crowd it used to, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Plenty of other options in NYC. Read more

My experience with Jaiya can be summarized as follows: don't get the mild, there's so many more flavors to be experienced if... you're willing to explore with your palate. Get the fish, it's a must-have. Noodles of your preference as an accompaniment willwork great too! Read more

From 5 to 1. Covid has ruined an otherwise amazing restaurant. This place used to have the best Tom Yum soup. Now, it?s worse... than instant noodle soup. We left after having the emerald dumplings and the soup. My family has been going here for about 30years. So sad to sew a place go south like this. Read more

My friends use to love this place and they had been REGULARS from 2018-2020 Feb. they ordered the food at least twice a week. At... least. Especially, the chile and basil tofu and coconut soup. The coconut soup is still good. But after COVID, the standard hassignificantly reduced. The food is at best average. They took forever to bring the drinks out. When the drinks finally came out.My friend?s drink was aesthetically on fire which was cool. But then, the fire cracked the glass and they were very nonchalantabout it. It is really sad because this place use to be really really good before COVID. One of my friends even moved back toNYC because she missed the basil tofu at Jaiya and she was so disappointed. Went there on dec 25 for dinner. We were greeted by a very nice and polite lady dressed in red for the Christmas theme, she... showed us the table. They have plenty of vegetarian options. The food was really good, we specially liked the pad thai. ThePanag curry was good but we were hoping to get a mix of veggies and tofu, we forgot to mention that while ordering so wouldn?thold that against them. Overall we loved the dishes and had a good time here Read more

Amazing Thai food. One of the best in the NYC. I have been here at least 6 times and never ever disappointed - that?s why a 5*... rating. You can?t go wrong with food here. Drinks as well are amazing and staff is courteous with a quick service Since theplace is small in seating space - you will need to wait for at least 30 mins on weekends. About good - amazing ! We love therevolcano Tom yum soup and dumplings . The roasted garlic on dumplings adds a flavor bomb. Main dishes are so very good be it wok(basil and ginger) my favorite. Red curry Panama curry (little sweet) or pad Thai or basil friend rice . It?s all so verygood. Pro tip - ask for medium spicy which is 8 out of 10 and people who can handle spice they also should take medium spicy :) Read more
