The food was OK not nearly as good as the old House of Vegetarians. At the end of the meal I gave them my debit credit card and... they were taking a really long time to run it like 10 minutes, so I said don’t worry and paid with cash as well as giving a20% tip. I looked at my Bank of America app later and saw that they had run the charge. So I paid twice for a mediocre meal. Iimmediately called them and they assured me they would reverse the charge they did not. I called them the next day they did notreverse the charge. Finally I had to call the bank and institute an investigation. A lot more aggravation and they needed for amediocre meal. I will not go there again Read more

Jisu is a phenomenal family-owned vegan eatery that offers something for everyone (unless you're craving meat ????), whether... you're in the mood for a quaint and casual lunch/dinner or more formal traditional family-style Chinese banquet. The menu offersa wide variety from burgers, smoothies, bentos, hot wok stews, noodle soups, stir fry wok noodles, fried appetizers, sautéedveggies and vegan inspired traditional entrees. They can make just about anything! The flavors of the dishes are savory andcomforting, mostly sautéed with mushroom sauce, soy and five spice. Nothing is too overwhelming or spice-y, they also providehot sauce upon request. The restaurant is great for Buddhist and Jain diets as they don't use garlic or onion. We've always hadfantastic service and have become regulars as a result, the family is accommodating and has gifted us so many goodies and wereally appreciate that it is off the beaten path of the main Chinatown on Canal tucked behind a temple, which makes it reallyquiet with an nice ambience by the base of the bridge. The price range of each entree fluctuates quite a bit, a platter of woknoodles will be under $10 while a traditional entree of soy protein meant to be shared will be up to $30-40. I highly recommendtrying one of their immortal meals to try a bit of everything at once and the noodles are a must! One of the highlights aretheir hericium (lion's mane) mushrooms, which are generally not found on most menus. They're so flavorful and have a meatytexture without the processed soy like many of the other protein-based dishes. In addition to the phenomenal food, one of thebest features is that they also have a grocery corner where they sell vegan pantry staples, teas and snacks as well as frozenmeats for you to cook at home—absolutely love this! Highly recommend this place to vegans and omnivores alike! Read more

Jisu Vegetarian is a casual Chinese restaurant that serves a menu of vegetarian and vegan rice and noodle dishes. it is a... medium-sized space with several tables with a modern relaxed Asian vibe. business seems to be mostly takeout and delivery. themenu is fairly large with a familiar Chinese dishes that are meatless. stopped here to grab some lunch. wanted something savorybut not super heavy so i went with the vegan chicken & broccoli over rice. it was a satisfying flavorful lunch. nothing fancy.the mix of seasoning + flavors was great. the faux chicken was good and worked well and soaked up the flavors nicely. as acasual lunch option, Jisu works well. Vegan Chicken with Broccoli Lunch Special. $8.99 + tax + tip staff was fine and the foodwas packed up neatly. Read more

We really enjoyed the special hot pot. On a cold winter day it was perfect. It came piping hot and instantly warmed us up. It... had a variety of mushrooms, vegetables and vegan seafood/ meat. The size was huge too. My husband also has the scallop with fishoption from the right immortals meal which was lovely. He can't consume refined sugar due to health reasons and the options hereare mostly without sugar which is rare for Asian food. It felt like clean eating and felt rejuvenated. The ambiance was alsorelaxing and restaurant is very clean. Owner was passionate about healthy eating and checked on us during the meal. Highlyrecommend. Read more
