Very spacious and well lit once you enter and a perfect view of how the dumplings are made. To start we ordered chrysanthemum... tea and and the cold cucumber dish. Then we ordered double cooked pork, seafood soup dumplings, vegetable steamed dumplings, anda noodle soup dish. The first dish came out rather quickly and the rest took a while. Overall the food tasted great the onlydownside is the Cleanliness. I noticed debris and oil residue on the dishes and stains on the cloth napkins. We had to send backthe plates twice and they swapped out the white dishes for a wood print dish instead (probably hoping we wouldn?t notice if theywere still dirty or not) but other than that it was perfectly fine. We were seated very quickly despite it being a busy time. Highly recommend sitting at the bar to watch the dumplings being made... as well! The service was fast and great, and all of the food was delicious, especially the soup dumplings! The dumplings arehuge and incredibly delicious, so don?t forget to try them! Read more
We were in the neighborhood and tired of all the burger and pizza places around so headed over. We sat at the bar seats so my... daughter could watch the chefs make the dumplings which is great for those with kids, as well. The service was pretty good. Wedidn?t get a lot of food but what we had was okay. Coming from Vancouver, the land of Asian food, the dumplings were reallygood. The beef chowder (weird name for it) was decent and the sweet and sour chicken (my kids choice) was too saucy to reallyenjoy. Read more
We came because we wanted to try dumplings in New York after having visited some nice locations back at home. This place did not... disappoint. We had the chicken and crab and pork soup dumplings. Really fresh and delicious. We also had the pan fried vegetabledumplings. They were pretty good though I've had better. Nevertheless the veggies were so fresh. We absolutely loved the shrimpfried rice. It was really fresh, not too salty, but tasty.I was most impressed by the service. Really great staff. The owner ormod was pleasant and so gracious. got all three soup dumpling menu options to try and they were all delicious! very juicy and tender. I would say the chicken... dumpling has the clearest and lightest broth flavour whereas the pork and crab ones had more depth and packed a more flavorfulpunch. the spoon is specifically meant for soup dumplings and makes eating them very convenient. friendly staff who were verykind to give us recommendations as a tourist, super cute! The soupiest and tastiest dumplings. We loved the wide selection of dumplings available there. Not just soup but pan-fried too.... There is a live counter which is fun to watch if you are seated beside it. The owner is friendly and checks in frequently.Alcohol is available. Family-friendly but also ideal for a quick meal of dumplings and a drink should you need a quick lunch.Not sure if the space above is available but the ground floor is currently open. Read more
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of dumplings - all the appetizers r really like dim sums so even though it is not explicitly... written as a dim sum restaurant, they certainly have all the Shanghai dim sums or small dishes that one would expect. Went on Saturday evening and got a table for 4 quickly. Ordered the chicken soup dumpling and the pan fried pork dumplings. The... pork one is more flavourful comparatively. The chicken one is good and soothing too. Didn't get any main course but the disheswere on a bit expensive side. A good spacious place nice overall. Read more
