I've heard about these restaurants as a staple abroad but was SHOCKED to see one during my visit it NYC. I made it a must-try... and I'll say I wasn't disappointed in the least. From what I've heard, Jollibee is famous for its spaghetti. So I got thespaghetti & chicken combo with a couple pies and a pineapple drink . Jollibees has a buy 1 get 1 free peach mango pie deal right now which is awesome. I got 2 pies, their spaghetti and the... pineapple quencher. The pies and spaghetti were really good. However the pineapple quencher tasted watered down. The olderFilipino guy was very nice, he tried offering me a new cup but it was still watered down. For all the hype, I was disappointed. I arrived at a very busy time so I really expected food to be hot and fresh. After all,... you can see them making food constantly in the kitchen. I ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich combo and a side of mac and cheese.One employee took my order in line on a tablet and handed me a food pager, which I then gave the number of to the cashier. Sheasked me to double check my order, which was wrong. Instead of giving me a side of mac and cheese, the order taker had swappedthe fries in my combo with it. After a few minutes, it was fixed and I paid. I found a seat (standing table) and my pager wentoff. I went and claimed my order (in a bag) and it was just fries when I got back to my seat. Went back up, got the rest of mymeal. Now to the food. I don't know how but the bun was stale. Stale. The fries were lukewarm and the macaroni and cheese hadsat under a heat lamp so long I had to break through the crust that had formed on top. The chicken was nicely seasoned and hot.That was the only good thing about my meal. I mean the drink was fine, but it's a drink, you know? Due to short staff they were running one register so the lines were long but Staff were polite and efficient. Food was great.... Seating is limited for a popular spot. Pram friendly. Chicken could be spicier, might want ask for extra spice if it's a thing. Read more
Delicious juicy fried chicken with rice and gravy! Unfortunately no palabok (rice noodle dish) at this location but it was... listed on their website. This Filipino chain was a perfect stop after the show with the kids. They were very busy the whole timewe were there. The seating is in the back but it is very limited. Our party of 14 waited for the other customers to finish so wecould sit and eat. The worker cleaned off the tables quickly and we were able to find seats and enjoy our meals. All the kidswere happy and my daughter wants to come back again. The bathroom needed attention. If we are in the area we would return! Read more
The chicken has the perfect blend of seasonings and crunch without being super greasy. The gravy is on point and I added it the... rice too. The pie is delicious, but not overly sweet. I came while on vacation and find myself googling the closest location.Yes it?s that good. Read more
Very good chicken. Had the regular crispy chicken and it was juicy and crispy with a great flavor. The gravy was delicious as... were the mashed potatoes. The French fries were good- just regular crispy fries nothing special. The mango peach pies wereawesome but can be quite messy. The outside pastry was sweet and crispy goodness. Also had the spaghetti with the cheese and lilhot dog or sausage bites- very tasty. There are two piece and three piece chicken meals which come with your choice of sides.You can also order the two piece chicken and spaghetti meal. Prices are reasonable and it comes quick. Delicious for fast food.The location does not have a lot of seating only has about 8 tables total. There is a bathroom to wash your hands as you mayneed to if you eat in. Will definitely go back to try the other dishes my 7 yr old said 10 out of 10 stars! Read more
My Filipino friend recommended for us the Jollibee.The chicken juicy, and tender, Mac and cheese I loved the flavor, the gravy... very delish! Chicken salad was ok,but I will skip next time. Service nice, they not slow everybody working on the back, but youare in the Times Square, the most busiest place In NYC so you have to prepare yourself for the waiting time. I was in the rush,but you can eat in if you are lucky enough to find a table and seat down. I recommend to eat there to eat the 2 or 3 piecechicken with one side. (We ordered 3 piece was enough for 2 people.)This little spot nice and clean, staff friendly, we don?teat many times fast food,but that was good to try. Read more
