Great restaurant! Had to wait about 15 minutes for seats during lunch time but it was worth it. I forgot the name of the... appetizer but the server recommended it so we tried it and it was good :) I like how the tofu was slightly fried outside butsoft inside. We got the pork Katsu and chicken katsu curry set. Definitely recommend trying their curry! They gave a generousportion. It was really filling since we got the set with the potato salad and meat&vegetable miso soup! Their ginger dressingwas perfect for my salad, not too strong of a ginger taste. Servers were friendly, I will definitely be coming back! Read more

This is a Japanese restaurant. ??????????????\nThe food is delicious, we have ordered a set with pork and shrimp, there are... soups and rice. A small bowl of sesame is served for us to mix with the sauce for the pork. The pork and tempura shrimp arefired, just at the right level.\nHowever there was not enough staff, so the serving was quite slow, we need to wait a whileevery time to get a waiter/waitress. One of the best meals that I’ve had in the city in a long time - glad we came here because it was on our list for a while. All... the food was delicious and the katsu curry absolutely hit the spot. You can’t go wrong with either chicken or pork so choosewhat you like. We’ll definitely be coming back because the portion sizes are huge and the quality is not overlooked! Read more

I ordered their premiere pork katsu curry and a ginger ale. The pork lacked flavor on its own but paired very well with the rice... and curry. The service was swift as well. Overall not my favorite katsu but a fantastic option in midtown. Read more

The portions here are HUGE, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted great as well. My only complaint were the... “cocktails”. They were canned drinks that were poured into a mug with ice. By the end of our meal, it was watered down andtasted like sparkling water. I expected more since the menu showed a more elaborate drink, but for $8, I should’ve known.Definitely would come back for the food only. Read more

One of the best places for katsudon and curry katsu. While neither of us have been to Japan, my husband says this is probably... the best he\'s had outside of Singapore. I also recommend trying the agedashi tofu and fried oysters. Prices were reasonable forgenerous portion sizes. Service was friendly and efficient. I\'d definitely come back again. Read more

Very generous portions for the food. Had the agedashi tofu and pork loin cutlet curry rice (without the set). Both were good and... satisfying. My friend tried the chicken cutlet and it was good too. Would recommend. Read more

Katsu-Hama was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is intimate and not suited for bigger groups but it’s perfect for 4 or less... people. The menu is straightforward, same sides options come with each entree. I recommend the Katsu-prawns. It was supercrunchy and paired well with the sauce it came with. The cabbage was my favorite, it’s a side option and definitely is a must.I particularly loved the curry. It was a great sauce for the chicken but also amazing just with the rice. Read more
