Four of us walked into this lovely restaurant last night without reservations and were welcomed with open arms. Our meals were... perfect -- the best Greek food we've had in years: delicious cocktails, abundant and fresh salad and vegetarian moussaka.Everybody was so friendly, we didn't want to leave but we had a lecture to attend. Korali Estiatorio is a really good Greek restaurant! I went there with my family and the food was absolutely delicious! The... bread was warm and yummy. My chicken salad was amazing and the vegetarian salad was also good. Although it has canned beets..The chicken kebab was delicious and the dessert baklava (which we got for take out) was amazing ???? Well.... It's a JS6.2... The maza/apps were average, the salad, was average, the sides were average and the main... Well, again,... average. The atmosphere and staff were great. Just expected more flavor from all of my dishes. Portions, great! Worth a visit,just not two. Read more
The salmon on a small bed of rice with capers has no taste. The lamb chop need salt desperately, the potatoes wedges were good.... The humus and and eggplant spread were the worst thing ever. The feta spread was good. The grill octopus tasted like chicken butit works. All in all, it was a waste of $170. Never ordering again. Read more
Last night I stopped by Korali and ordered the 3 spread sampler with htipiti, tzatziki, and the melitzanosalata. Each sauce was... amazing, with the htipiti being my favorite. Though it was advertised as spicy, the feta balanced it well! For my main course, Ienjoyed the shrimp santorini, which was honestly heavenly. Awesome experience. Quick service. Nice ambience. Fully stocked bar. Limited beer selection. Seafood combo appetizers was... fantastic. Hummus, carp row and tzatziki spread was great. Cheese cigars were fantastic and flakey. Shrimp, octopus and crabcakes were out of this world. Seafood risotto was savory and tasty. Lamb slouvaki was amazing. I believe I found a jewel in theUES. Surprising Greek hideaway with raw stone walls and stucco ceilings on UES. Very tasty and authentic Greek cuisine with a new... spin... for example, seafood croquettes are full of big chunks of shrimp and codfish, served on a bed of garlic-rich skordalia.Lots of delicious mezes to share, vegetarian options and classics like a tender lamb souvlaki and tomato-rich gigantes limabeans.
