Such a cute atmosphere being seated at one of 3 tables on the first floor balcony overlooking the street on a light rainy... evening (dont think about it on a heavy downpour). Got myself an onion soup and to be honest I had better ones. Neverthelessits still pretty ok and on a rainy october evening its perfect. Beef burger was delicious, but the bottom bun got a little soggyfrom the patty. The shoe string fries was the best and its crispy thru out dinner. A friend had the escargot and he likes how itwas prepared and I bet its garlicky !! Will I return soon? I’m not so sure. Read more

????????????????So good! Live music on the street only adds to the charm of the place. Moules Frites, cheese burger, amazing... onion soup and arugula salad - all really good plus a full bar. If you ask, they might let you dine on the balcony which isquite small and cozy (only 3 tables) - ???????? Read more

I went here during restaurant week. The cheese cap on the french onion soup is amazing but everything inside was mushy but still... tasted good. The sauce for the halibut was way way too sour, but the fish itself was cooked well. Steak sauce is too peppery butgood. The fries is way too thin thus it get way too crispy and has no fluffy inside. The creme brulee is great. But imo frenchdining is just not worth the price it demands. Read more

We had the PERFECT meal. All the dishes were beautifully balanced and we would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys French... cuisine. The Boeuf Bourguignon was truly had a delicious wine flavor. The duck came with an apricot sauce unlike anything I havetasted before. The only thing I missed was trying their famous French onion soup! I look forward to returning one day andtreating my tastebuds to more of their great food. Read more

Excellent food, service, and a nice outdoor seating area. All the dishes we had were excellent and the pricing seemed quite... reasonable (for NYC). Also, very pet friendly with the outdoor seating and they even brought a water bowl for our dog.Definitely recommended! Read more

This is definitely some if the best French cuisine I've had in the US! The food at La Bonne Soupe is delicious. My favorite was... the croque madame, which is absolutely phenomenal. Great customer service as well. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hadreally good outdoor seating as well. There is a covered patio in front of the restaurant itself that was very nice. This patiois also dog-friendly, as we were able to eat there with our pup that we brought with us. Will definitely be back once we come tothe area again! Read more

Delicious food and French desserts! We did the 3 course on their lunch menu for $32/person. I’d highly recommend to go with... this course menu. Very valuable and high quality of food, also, there’s various options for their pre-set menu! We shared apitcher of white wine. They’re famous for the French onion soup. To be fair, very generous portion of food and you can easilykill 2-3 hours for brunch/lunch! Great service, casual atmosphere and medium noise level. Perfect for any occasion ofdinning! We would come back to try other items on the menu! Read more
