The food is very good but expensive for a cafe like this. They raised their prices after the pandemic..... It used to be a... place where you could stop by for a delicious snack. The food is always good but now they have restaurant prices. The pastadishes are just as expensive as a high-end Italian restaurant with white tablecloths. A ham & cheese crepe and a bowl of soupcame to $35 with tax & tip. They charge you 4% extra to use a credit card. They call it a convenience fee. Read more

Outdoor dining they (my friends) said, it would be great they said. So we did. And the weather was conducive for outdoor dining... on a perfect Sunday autumn afternoon. Unfortunately our Sunday brunch was marred by one issue ? the potent aroma of urine thatwafted across our table every now and then was enough to spoil an otherwise enjoyable meal. Jokes aside, what would you expectfrom a 9th Ave Chelsea restaurant with limited indoor seating. With regards to food, we ordered: Nutella Banana Crepe - wasdelicious, you can?t go wrong with crepes sucres for brunch Croque Madame - bread was cut too thick and the salad greens wereslightly old Spaghetti Bolognaise - wasn?t very authentic, but that?s fine for a French Bistro; the positive is that it was avery comforting, delicious dish Escargot - was gloriously buttery and rich, and the server was happy to throw in extra slices ofbread to soak up all that goodness Jambon Beurre (Ham and Butter on a baguette) - was simple, well execute, just as you wouldfind at a Parisian cafe Overall, a positive experience - but would aim to be seated either indoors or at an outdoor tableagainst the storefront window next time. I highly recommended this Paris spot in the heart of Chelsea in nyc. If you are a coffee lover just like me you would be very... happy with the coffee size & taste. This is a cute place to share with your love ones for dinner or brunch. My favorite plate isCroque Madame; and I have to say that the mimosas are very fun. I definitely will be back. Read more

Has long been my favorite spot for brunch and lunch. Just had a nice calm dinner here on a Saturday night. Amazing food as... always (had the mussels). Sat inside. Fun older crowd sitting around me, talking about anything and everything. Good service. Has outdoor space but better for groups <5. Read more

Cozy spot in Chelsea with a tasty menu. Also, their Espresso and cappuccino drinks (both iced and Hot) are a delightful treat!... Take a vacation to France without leaving NYC. Read more

I am currently on a jag with French cafes and Grainne Café helped quench my hunger. It really has a cafe feel and is right in... the middle of Chelsea. The food hits the spot. I ordered the homemade sausage and enjoyed every bite. And the bread sodelish. It has outside seating which can get hot on a summer day. The inside feels somewhat worn but overall I enjoyed myvisit. Cute restaurant with great service. It's a little smoky inside with fried food smell, but the croque madame was good. The... chocolate fondant, on the other hand, was a disappointment - too much chocolate and why would they add raspberries to it?Altogether a good experience. Read more

Cute atmosphere and the food was simple and delicious. The crepe was huge and I had enough that I will be able to take it for... lunch on Monday. The chocolate croissant was also the perfect way to end the meal. Additionally, the manager/owner allowed anunhoused individual to sit in the outdoor seating section to eat their meal (that they didn?t purchase at the restaurant) andbrought even brought them ice water. I was always planning to come back but after seeing how compassionate the owner was I willdefinitely be back to support this business. I can?t recommend this business any more! Read more
