This place is such a gem in the middle of Times Square. The food is average and overpriced but the decor and ambiance make up... for it. They have all these fun skeletons decorated until mid November. Definitely pop in before they go away. We were there just before Halloween and they had the bar DECKED out in decorations. Our waitress said they hire a company to do... every season, I'd really love to go back around Xmas time! The building itself was beautiful and the bar was very cool. A bitpricey due to its close proximity to times square (I think three craft cocktails were $60). This restaurant is for the brave at heart! The outside decor is skeletons. The interior decoration reminds me of a haunted... house. I had brunch which was delicious and a bottle of champagne with orange juice on the side. It is my birthday month so theygave me a slice of decadent chocolate cake for free. So I had actually been to the spot just before the pandemic started. It was the last bar I went to in February 2020 to meet a... friend who had moved away. It is such an impressive place, and I thought it was going to be kind of gimmicky at first becauseit’s on Broadway (I’m a native New Yorker, can’t blame me!) where all the shows are, but I really did enjoy the ambienceand decor. High ceilings are my ISH and I loved how everywhere kept in theme down to the plates and even the bathrooms. Musicwise it was a switch up of 00’s throwbacks mostly. It’s Halloween time now and they went ALL OUT as you can see in mypictures. I couldn’t get enough! Staff were so kind and really on it. I heavily enjoy the drinks here, though they areexpensive ($16 cocktails eeep!). But what can you expect near time square? I personally got the Afecto Real and that had mezcaland pineapple in it, but no joke to me a tasted like a s’more. It was Smokey and sweet. Big recommend. There was anightingale, one as well, I kind of forgot the name, but that one was good too. A good place to chill in NYC with amazing decor and old victorian vibes. The cocktails were not that strong but were presented... very nicely. The truffle fries were extremely crunchy and well made. The vodka cocktails were better than the mescal/tequilacocktails. Read more
Decided to eat here while I spent time in New York City for the first time and it was close by to our hotel. As soon as we... walked in we noticed the antique look inside, very cute and pretty with beautiful paintings everywhere. I ordered the salmonwith asparagus and my friend ordered the bacon cheeseburger. It was EXCELLENT! The salmon was perfectly cooked with a nice cruston top and a lot of flavor. Definitely recommend! I ate a bite of the cheeseburger which was also full of flavor and was a greatbite overall. I definitely recommend this place if you’re near time square for a great meal. Lillie's Victorian Establishment has the most incredible Halloween decorations I have ever seen in a restaurant/bar. Even if... this was the only reason to visit, it would have been enough. However, there's more - the brunch menu is great and has a host ofgreat dishes and teas (we tried the Mushroom Omelette, Shakshuka and the Eggs Benedict, as well as the Jasmine Pearls Tea andLavender Mint tea.
