The most mediocre meal I’ve ever had in NYC. The fish (salmon and halibut), were over cooked and under seasoned. Two people in... our group had the lobster pasta which they described as lobster with chef boyardee pasta. Everything was over done and justplain not good, including the fries which were soggy and under seasoned. 5 people, one bottle of wine for $762. For that priceit was beyond mediocre, which was very disappointing as recent reviews are quite positive. Read more
Came here during restaurant week. The fried calamari and grilled octopus ???? appetizers were really good. Salmon, sea bass,... Lamb chops were cooked really well with lots of flavor. The almond cake was very sweet and was not our style for dessert. Read more
Beautiful place I visited for Mother's Day Dinner. Low key in terms of vibe though. This is more upscale. The service is great.... There are several staff members on floor to help with quicker service and swifter cleaning. The food was great. My mom and Ishared the seabass. My friend ordered the octopus. It was yummy. Her mom ordered the lamb chop. She shared that it was tastyand it looked juicy. I'm not a fan of baklava but this restaurant serves a deconstructed version. I was not mad at it!!! I have eaten here before but it was pre pandemic. I'm glad that it's lustre from then has not faded, this was a go to spot of... mine back then. Tonight's experience was a reminder of glorious times. We started with the biggest langoustines, I've ever laideyes on, accompanied by fresh Scallops in their shell, absolutely fantastic. The freshest Greek Salad you've ever eaten with thetastiest tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta. Main dish was the seared rare Tuna with Yellowstone rosemary oregano potatoes. Abeautiful bottle of Italian red wine accompanied our meal and really enhanced all the flavors our palates experienced. Dessertwas graciously presented to us on the house. This restaurant has always been a favorite, the ambiance is glamorous with theservice being impeccable without being stuffy or overbearing. Everyone makes you feel comfortable, they explain all the littlenuances of the menu that make you want to be adventurous and try new things. The flavors dance in your mouth and leave a lastingsatisfying tasteful impression. You will not be disappointed, but keep in mind this evening is not at a discount, it's valuewill make itself representative as you will compare all your other dining experiences against this one. Excellent location, nice outdoor, fast seating. Slow service, maybe understaffed?…Great greek salad, clearly quality... ingredients in it, but a $28 one, and yes, the one in the picture. The fried calamari were ok, the choice of sauce kindastrange. The eggplant dish was a bit too bland for my taste. I had higher expectations for the place, based on previous reviews. Read more
Very cool Mediterranean restaurant… the octopus appetizer was amazing also the big eye tuna was very tasty. For the mains, we... got to go pick which fish we wanted, which was very nice experience. No diners in the dining room on Friday night! Service was very poor! We had to call out in loud voices to get staff’s... attention. Waitress is not educated to explain wine choices. Just arrives with a poured glass of red wine? When I questioned hershe brought the bottle to our table. She still couldn’t describe the choice of wine? I ordered tuna - greens were tough &flavorless - dessert baklava service was weird: the waitress didn’t say a word/she just began crushing the pastry presentationinto a mound of crumbs. Captain oversells most expensive $150 and up entrees ONLY!! Is he nuts?? Madness!! In an empty Diningroom!! GM George arrived at the end of our dinner - too late for damage control!
