Good steak well cooked, though slightly over charred. For some that could be the best and while I enjoy a good char I think it... was a bit too much. I still ate quite a bit. Desert was good too. The steak sauce is great, though you don't really need it. The meat was expertly cooked. The sides are delicious (get the... brussel sprouts and cauliflower). Try the octopus. It's very flavorful. Be warned: some of the desserts are absurdly large,especially after a steak dinner. I would pass on the chocolate cake or be prepared to share it with 5 people. The atmosphereis old New York city. It still remind you of steak houses from the 1980s, but there is a charm to it. The Clientele seemsto be above 50 and wealthy. It is a nice place to have dinner. And despite the prices, its actually considered an "everydayplace" by regulars. Expect to spend about $200 + for two people. Read more
I went during Restaurant Week and had a 3 course meal for a fixed price. The calamari for the starter, which came out crispy and... had a tasty side sauce. The Main course was steak (Of course) which came delicious! For desert, it was very tasty dish. (Forgotthe name). Overall, it's a bit pricey, but I find that you'll highly enjoy the food here! I came here on my birthday yesterday, while the food is good , I can’t ignore the poor service we had. The attitude towards us... (Table for 2) were poor and waiters kept circling us as if they were rushing us to eat and give them our plates. I have to addthat we observed everyone else be treated with respect, even people who were there before us. There was a table of about 7-8 whowere there before we came and stayed until after we left. They didn’t even sing Happy Birthday when my girlfriend noted it inthe reservation. I strongly feel that race and youth (being that we’re significantly younger then the rest of the crowd )played apart in this and for that reason I can’t no longer eat at this establishment. I wish I had the great experienceeveryone else got when they dined at this place but I would not support a place like this ever again. Read more
